Antiguan ABBA round 15 best performance: Sam Taylor (by Hoops Agents)

American Point guard Sam Taylor (178-PG-1997) had a very impressive game in the last round for Cutie Ovals Ojays, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 36 points and 10 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Navigators (#8, 0-8) with 78-point margin 126-48. Cutie Ovals was forced-out from the top positions in Antiguan ABBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Cutie Ovals will need more victories to improve their 6-3 record. In the team's last game Taylor had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He just recently signed at Cutie Ovals, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Northern Michigan University star has very solid stats this year. Taylor is in league's top in points (7th best: 19.6ppg), assists (3rd best: 7.1apg) and averages impressive 5.5spg and 52.0% FGP. Worth to mention Taylor played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was young international forward Cohen Desouza (201-F-1994) of JSC Red Hawks. Desouza had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds. It was enough for Red Hawks to edge slightly higher-ranked DA-Project (#5, 4-4) 73-72. Red Hawks' 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Desouza is one of the most experienced players at Red Hawks and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.5ppg (#4). He also registered 12.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Danny Perez (G) of league's top team Flyers Basketball. Perez got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for four assists. He was a key player of Flyers, leading his team to a 82-73 win against #3 ranked Cutie Ovals in a game of the week. Flyers confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 2 lost games. Perez has a great season in Antigua. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.7ppg (2nd best). He also has 3.6spg and a FGP of 58.1%.
