Keroi Lee claims Antiguan ABBA Hoops Agents weekly honour

Keroi Lee (G) had an amazing evening in the last round for Lava Smoke Elite Stingerz and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The guard had a double-double of 26 points and 16 rebounds, while his team edged out Red Hawks (#5, 3-5) 110-106. Thanks to this victory Stingerz moved-up to the 7th position in Antiguan ABBA. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. They are still not able to win a single game in the league yet. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Stingerz won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Lee just recently signed at Stingerz, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Lee has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 14.2rpg) and averages solid 58.1% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Stingerz's star - young American forward Joshua Minner (198-F-1990). Minner impressed basketball fans with 31 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. It was enough for Lava Smoke Elite Stingerz to edge slightly higher-ranked Red Hawks (#5, 3-5) by 4 points 110-106. Despite this victory Stingerz slide down in the standings to 7th position. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Minner is one of the most experienced players at Stingerz and similarly like Keroi Lee has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.7ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 8.2rpg and 4.1apg.

The third best performed player last round was international forward Cohen Desouza (201-F-1994) of JSC Red Hawks (#5). Desouza got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for thirteen rebounds . Despite Desouza's great performance the Red Hawks lost 106-110 to Stingerz (#7, 0-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Red Hawks not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Desouza could try to bring Red Hawks' a little bit higher in the standings. Desouza has individually a great season in Antigua. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.5ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 12.3rpg (4th best).
