Comunicaciones - Estudiantes O. 94-72

Comunicacoines earned TNA title. They rolled past Estudiantes Olavarria in the decisive fifth game of the championship series to capture the trophy. Therefore Comunicaciones earned Liga A promotion. The game was mostly controlled by Comunicaciones. Estudiantes O. managed to win third quarter 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cameroonian power forward Gaston Essengue (203-83, college: UNLV) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Nicolas Lauria (202-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Comunicaciones' coach Fernando Rivero felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Italian center Emilio Dominguez (202-87) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Rodrigo Sanchez (200-89) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Estudiantes O.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
