Jaqhawn
Walters
La Liga Argentina newcomer Progreso de General Roca added to their roster 22-year old American forward Jaqhawn Walters (198-98kg-96, college: Albertus Magnus, agency: Duran International). He joins another USA player Jameson Tipping which is already in the roster.
Walters already started the season at Gimnasia (La Liga), but left the team in Nov.'18. In 5 games he recorded just 2.8ppg and 1.8rpg this season. La Liga Argentina will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. The last season Walters played at Albertus Magnus College in NCAA3 in the NCAA3 where in 27 games he averaged impressive 26.5ppg, 15.0rpg, 2.4apg, 1.1spg and 1.1bpg.
He just graduated from Albertus Magnus College and it is his first season as a pro. Walters' team made it to the HVIAC Tournament Semifinals. He was voted D3hoops.com All-America 2nd Team in 2018 at his college time.

La Liga Round 30: Gimnasia is defeated by La Union - 12 hours ago
The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 6 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most important game in the last round took place in Comodoro Rivadavia between second ranked Gimnasia (19-12) and eleventh ranked La Union (15-17) on Wednesday night. Gimnasia was defeated by La Union in a tough game at home 76-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Gimnas...   [read more]

Tintorelli's 27 points give him Player of the Week award - 3 days ago
DAMIAN TINTORELLI 37-year old center Damian Tintorelli (204-C-81) had a great game in the last round for Penarol and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 29. He had the game-high 27 points adding three rebounds for Penarol in his team's victory, helping them to beat Atenas (#20, 8-21) 101-94. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Penarol maintains the 16th position in Argentinian league. Pen...   [read more]
