We bring you last week's top performances from Argentinians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Gabriel Deck (199-95, currently plays in Spain). He contributed to a Real Madrid's victory against the 13th-ranked Burgos (3-4) 90-77 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game. Deck scored 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 22 minutes on the court. Real Madrid (6-1) is placed third in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Deck's first year with the team. This season he averages: 9.0ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 62.5%(20-32) and FT: 61.1% in seven games he played so far. Deck is currently a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Facundo Campazzo (181-91, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Gabriel Deck. But that was another game of his team in Spanish Liga Endesa which we would like to mention. Campazzo. He could not help Real Madrid (6-1) to beat Andorra (3-4). Campazzo recorded 7 points and added 7 assists (made all of his five free throws) in 20 minutes. Real Madrid was edged 107-105 at home by the much lower-ranked (#11) Andorra. This year Campazzo's overall stats are: 8.3ppg, 2.1rpg, 5.3apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 34.6%, 3FGP: 28.0% and FT: 95.0%(19-20) in seven games. He is in the roster of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #3. The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Franco Balbi (185-89, currently plays in Brazil). Balbi was not able to help Flamengo (5-1) in their last game on Thursday. Despite his very good performance the league leader Flamengo was defeated 74-61 on their home court in Rio de Janeiro by the lower-ranked Pinheiros (#3). Balbi was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 5 passes. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. It's Balbi's first year with the team. Balbi's total stats this season are: 7.5ppg, 4.8rpg, 5.8apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 40.7%, 3FGP: 29.4% and FT: 72.7%. He is also a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #4. Guard Nicolas Laprovittola (190-90, currently plays in Spain) led Joventut to a victory over the 16th-ranked Movil Estudiantes (2-4) 83-69 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday. Laprovittola was MVP of the game. He recorded 25 points and added 8 assists in 29 minutes. Divina Seguros Juventut Badalona (3-3) is placed seventh in the Liga Endesa. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Laprovittola has relatively good stats this year: 13.3ppg, 1.7rpg and 8.0apg in six games. He is also Argentinian national team player.

International guard Luca Vildoza (190-95, currently plays in Spain) was the major contributor in Baskonia's victory against the eighth-ranked Valencia Basket (3-4) crushing them 77-56 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night. Vildoza recorded 13 points and added 3 assists. Kirolbet Baskonia Vitoria (6-1) is placed first in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Vildoza's total stats this season are: 5.0ppg, 2.0rpg, 2.0apg and 1.5spg. He plays currently for the Argentinian national team.

An experienced power forward Luis Scola (206-80, currently plays in China) helped Sharks win their game against the 12th-ranked Jiangsu Dragons (3-4) 117-103 in the Chinese CBA in Wednesday night's game. Scola scored 20 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 28 minutes. Shanghai Sharks (6-1) are placed third in the CBA. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Scola has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.3ppg, 8.8rpg and 1.8apg in six games. Scola is an international player who is currently on the senior Argentinian National Team roster.

International center Marcos Delia (211-92, agency: Best of You Sports, currently plays in Spain) helped UCAM Murcia win their game against the closely-ranked Leche Rio Breogan (2-4) 76-64 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Saturday. He recorded 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Universidad Catolica de Murcia CB (2-4) is placed 14th in the Liga Endesa. Delia's total stats this season are: 7.3ppg and 4.3rpg. He is also Argentinian national team player.

This year Garino's total stats are: 7.6ppg, 1.9rpg and 1.3spg in seven games. He plays currently for the Argentinian national team.

He scored 12 points and added 5 passes in 35 minutes. Fuerza Regia Monterrey (6-2) is placed third in North group. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Cortes has averaged so far 8.8ppg, 2.4rpg and 4.6apg in eight games. He is a former U19 international player as nine years ago he still played for the Argentinian national team.

   #11. Former U18 international shooting guard Enzo Ruiz (193-88, currently plays in Brazil) helped Paschoalotto/Bauru win their game against the league outsider Brasilia 113-105 in the Brazilian NBB in Wednesday night's game. He scored 10 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 43 minutes. This year Ruiz has relatively solid stats: 13.5ppg, 4.5rpg and 3.0apg in six games. He used to play for the Argentinian U18 national team twelve years ago.

   #12. International center Daniel Amigo (208-95, college: Denver, currently plays in Hungary) helped DEAC win their game against the tenth-ranked Falco-Vulcano 95-88 in the Hungarian A Division last Saturday. He scored 11 points, had 8 rebounds and made 2 blocks. Amigo has averaged so far 8.0ppg and 5.0rpg. He is a naturalized American. Amigo used to play for the Argentinian national team last year. Strangely he has never played in Argentina.

   #13. Former international guard Juan Fernandez (193-90, college: Temple, currently plays in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for Alma TR in their game against Openjobmetis VA in the Italian Serie A. Fernandez recorded 7 points. His team was defeated 78-66. Fernandez has averaged so far 7.2ppg, 1.8rpg and 3.2apg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team four years ago.

   #14. U17 international small forward Leandro Bolmaro (198-0, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Barca II (2-4) in their last game. Despite Bolmaro's good performance Barca II lost 86-92 on the road to the higher-ranked (#11) Real Canoe. He scored 11 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists in a mere 19 minutes. Bolmaro has averaged so far 9.0ppg, 3.4rpg and 2.4apg in five games. He used to play for the Argentinian U17 national team last year.

   #15. Former international center Juan Manuel Torres (210-84, currently plays in Uruguay) managed to help Goes Montevideo in a victory against one of league's weakest teams Atletico Welcome crushing them 93-67 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB on Friday night. Torres recorded only 4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 15 minutes. It was his first game for Goes this season. Torres used to play for the Argentinian national team three years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Argentinian passport but never been selected to any of Argentinian national teams:

   #1. Ariel Filloy (189-PG-87, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) could not help Sidigas AV (3-1) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite his very good performance the third-placed Sidigas AV (3-1) was edged 72-69 on the road by the leading UCAM Murcia in the group A of Basketball Champions League. Filloy was the top scorer with 17 points. He also added 4 passes. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Filloy's overall stats this year are: 7.8ppg, 3.0rpg and 2.5apg. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

   #2. Enzo Cafferata (187-PG-88, currently plays in Brazil) was not able to help Mogi in their game against Flamengo (5-1) in the Brazilian NBB. Cafferata scored 5 points and added 4 assists. Mogi was badly defeated 93-73 in Rio de Janeiro by the leading Flamengo. Cafferata has averaged so far 4.8ppg, 1.2rpg and 2.7apg.

   #3. Experienced Marcelo Dip (205-C-84, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Italy) led Deco to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked Pozzuoli (1-5) crushing them 109-53 in the Italian Serie B (third division) last Sunday. Dip recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 11 rebounds. Deco Caserta (5-1) is placed second in Group D. Dip has reliable stats this season: 11.4ppg, 9.0rpg and 2.4apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #4. Juan Bergel (190-SG-89, currently plays in Israel) was not able to secure a victory for Maccabi Haifa (0-1) in their last game. Despite Bergel's very good performance the bottom-ranked Maccabi Haifa lost 81-86 at home to the higher-ranked (#9) Maccabi Raanana. He was the second best scorer with 18 points in a mere 19 minutes. It was his first game for Maccabi Haifa this season. Bergel has both Argentinian and Israeli nationalities.

   #5. Pablo Bertone (193-SG-90, also represented by Interperformances, college: Florida Atlantic, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Openjobmetis VA (2-1) in their game against Alba (3-0) in the FIBA Europe Cup. He scored 6 points. Openjobmetis VA was defeated 85-77 in Szekesfehervar by the leading Alba. There are only three games left until the end of the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Bertone has reliable stats this season: 11.0ppg, 1.3rpg and 2.0apg. He also holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #6. Bernardo Musso (193-G-86, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Novipiu Casale (4-2) in their last game. Despite Musso's very good performance the third-placed Novipiu Casale lost 66-74 in Roma to the second-ranked Virtus in the West group. He was the top scorer with 20 points. Musso also added 5 steals in 37 minutes. Musso has reliable stats this year: 13.2ppg, 4.4rpg and 2.6apg in five games he played so far. He holds both Argentinian and Italian passports.

   #7. Brian Savoy (186-G-92, currently plays in Switzerland) led Neuchatel to a victory against the closely-ranked Lugano Tigers 89-77 in the Swiss SBL on Saturday night. Savoy recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and making 11 passes. Savoy has reliable stats this season: 14.7ppg, 2.8rpg and 5.0apg. He has Argentinian and Swiss nationalities.

   #8. Enzo Damian Cena (200-F/C-92, currently plays in Italy) led Olimpia Matera to a victory over the 12th-ranked Catania Alfa 81-68 in the Italian Serie B (third division) in Sunday night's game. Cena was the best player in that game. He had a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 10 rebounds in 33 minutes. Cena has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 20.4ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.4apg in five games. Cena has dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

   #9. Emiliano Paparella (184-PG-83, another player represented by Players Group, currently plays in Italy) was the main contributor in Fabriano's victory against the 11th-ranked Catanzaro 75-69 in the Italian Serie B (third division) on Sunday night. Paparella was the best player in that game. He scored 18 points, made 4 passes and 4 steals in 29 minutes. Paparella has averaged so far 10.0ppg, 3.8rpg and 2.8apg in five games. He has Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #10. Albano Chiarastella (199-F-85, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in Italy) managed to help Eurotrend Biella in a 3-point victory against the 15th-ranked FCL Contract LG 73-70 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) last Sunday. Chiarastella scored only 3 points in 20 minutes. Chiarastella has averaged so far 3.2ppg, 6.4rpg and 1.4apg in five games. He had the game-high 27 points adding three rebounds for Penarol in his team's victory, helping them to beat Atenas (#20, 8-21) 101-94.
