MICHAEL HICKS

San Martin Corrientes (La Liga) added to their roster experienced 42-year old Panamanian forward Michael Hicks (196-93kg-76, college: Texas A&M-CC). It is actually his comeback to San Martin Corrientes as he has played here before. Hicks moved there from Universitarios in Panamanian LPB league where he started the season. In 10 games he recorded 12.9ppg, 4.1rpg, 3.0apg and 1.6spg this season. This summer Hicks played at San Martin Corrientes (LigaA).
In 2001 he was drafted by Oklahoma Storm (USBL) in fifth round (41st overall).
The former Texas A&M - Corpus Christi standoutis in his 18th (!!!) season in pro basketball. He played in the final of Argentinian LigaA. Hicks was voted Latinbasket.com All-Uruguay LUB 2nd Team in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
He is quite experienced player. Thanks to Hicks' pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in six different countries. Hicks has played previously professionally also in Italy (Andrea Costa Imola), Mexico (Halcones UV Xalapa), Puerto Rico, Venezuela (Marinos) and Uruguay (Hebraica).
He is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at San Martin Corrientes.
