Jose Ortiz
La Liga Argentina newcomer Progreso de General Roca added to their roster American guard Jose Ortiz (194-93kg, college: Delaware Valley). He played last summer at Cojute in Salvadorean Liga MB. Ortiz also played for Real Esteli (LSB) in league where in 14 games he was third best scorer with impressive 20.7ppg and had 3.9rpg, 2.9apg and 1.1spg. He helped them to win the Nicaraguan LSB title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. A very spectacular season in his career as he was selected Latinbasket.com All-Nicaraguan LSB Guard of the Year and voted to 1st Team.
Ortiz has played also professionally in ABA (WNY T-snow).
He graduated from Delaware Valley College in 2015 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player.
