   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Facundo Campazzo (181-91, currently plays in Euroleague). He could not help Real Madrid (8-1) in their last game. Despite Campazzo's good performance the league leader Real Madrid lost 83-88 on the road to the much lower-ranked (#8) Olympiacos. He had a double-double by scoring 14 points and making 13 passes in 31 minutes on the court. It was Real Madrid's first loss after eight consecutive victories. This year Campazzo averages: 9.3ppg, 2.3rpg, 5.4apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 47.6%, 3FGP: 43.8% and FT: 88.0% in nine games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

Luis Scola

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced international power forward Luis Scola (206-80, currently plays in China). Scola was the major contributor in Sharks' victory against the league outsider Gold Lions (2-13) 118-115 in the Chinese CBA last Tuesday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and getting 11 rebounds. Scola also added 5 assists. Shanghai Sharks (11-4) are placed third in the CBA. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Scola has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 20.1ppg, 9.4rpg, 2.7apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 54.7%, 3FGP: 32.5% and FT: 68.8%. Scola has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Spanish. He is in the roster of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #3. The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international guard Luca Vildoza (190-95, currently plays in Euroleague). Vildoza was not able to help Baskonia (3-6) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Baskonia was edged 93-90 in Milano by the higher-ranked (#6) Armani. Vildoza scored 15 points and added 4 passes in 24 minutes. It was Baskonia's third consecutive loss in a row. This year Vildoza's overall stats are: 7.2ppg, 1.6rpg, 2.7apg, 2FGP: 40.9% and FT: 91.7% in nine games. He is also a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #4. Forward Gabriel Deck (199-95, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Facundo Campazzo and both played together in the last Euroleague game. Deck was not able to secure a victory for Real Madrid (8-1) in their game against Olympiacos (5-4). He scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 21 minutes. The league leader Real Madrid lost 83-88 in Pireus to the much lower-ranked (#8) Olympiacos. This year Deck's total stats are: 4.0ppg and 2.4rpg in nine games. He is also Argentinian national team player.

International point guard Franco Balbi (185-89, currently plays in Liga SudAmericana) contributed to an easy victory against the fourth-ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (0-3) crushing them 102-75 in the Liga Sudamericana in Thursday night's game. He scored 9 points, had 10 rebounds and dished 7 assists in 30 minutes. Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (2-1) is placed second in group F. The Second Stage already ended in the Liga Sudamericana. It's Balbi's first season with the team. Balbi has averaged so far 9.3ppg, 3.2rpg, 4.2apg and 1.3spg in six games. He plays currently for the Argentinian national team.

   #6. Forward Nicolas Brussino (202-93, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) couldn't help CB Canarias (6-1) in their last game. Despite Brussino's good performance the first-placed CB Canarias (6-1) was edged 66-65 in Thessaloniki by the lower-ranked (#4) PAOK in the group B of Basketball Champions League. He was the second best scorer with 10 points in 16 minutes. They ended the series of six consecutive victories. Brussino has averaged so far 8.3ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.3apg in seven games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Argentinian National Team roster.

   #7. International guard Nicolas Laprovittola (190-90, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Joventut (1-5) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Laprovittola's good performance Joventut was crushed 112-66 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked Zaragoza (#5). He was the top scorer with 14 points. Laprovittola also added 4 rebounds and 9 assists. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Laprovittola has relatively good stats this season: 14.4ppg, 1.9rpg and 7.5apg. He is also Argentinian national team player.

   #8. Shooting guard Enzo Ruiz (193-88, currently plays in Liga SudAmericana) couldn't help Paschoalotto/Bauru (0-3) in their last game. Despite Ruiz's very good performance Paschoalotto/Bauru (#4) was edged 67-66 in Belo Horizonte by the higher-ranked (#3) Minas in the group F of Liga Sudamericana. He was the top scorer with 17 points. Ruiz also added 7 rebounds in 22 minutes. So far Paschoalotto/Bauru lost all three games in the Second Stage. The Second Stage already ended in the Liga Sudamericana. Ruiz has averaged so far 8.5ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.5apg in six games. He used to play for the Argentinian U18 national team back in 2006.

International center Marcos Delia (211-92, agency: Best of You Sports, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) contributed to a 1-point UCAM Murcia's victory against the 26th-ranked Banvit (4-3) 63-62 in the Basketball Champions League on Tuesday night. Delia recorded 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Universidad Catolica de Murcia CB (6-1) is placed 24th in group A. Delia has averaged so far 8.6ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.6apg. He is also in the roster of the Argentinian national team.

   #10. Small forward Carlos Delfino (198-82, currently plays in EuroCup) couldn't help the league outsider Fiat TO (0-8) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Fiat TO (#6) lost 72-82 at home to the second-ranked Unics Kazan in the group D of Eurocup. Delfino was the top scorer with 19 points in 25 minutes. So far Fiat TO lost all eight games in the Regular Season. There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Delfino has averaged so far 6.5ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.3apg in four games. He is a former international player as two years ago he still played for the Argentinian senior national team.

   #11. International point guard Lucio Redivo (183-94, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Leche Rio Breogan (2-7) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Redivo's very good performance Leche Rio Breogan was defeated 86-82 on the opponent's court by the much higher-ranked Zaragoza (#5). He was the second best scorer with 18 points (went 5 for 5 at the free throw line). This season Redivo has relatively solid stats: 11.8ppg, 2.3rpg and 2.0apg. He plays currently for the Argentinian national team.

   #12. International small forward Patricio Garino (198-93, college: G.Washington, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Luca Vildoza and both played together in the last Euroleague game. Garino couldn't help Baskonia in their game against Armani Milano. He scored 5 points in 12 minutes. His team was edged 93-90. Garino has averaged so far 4.6ppg and 1.7rpg in nine games. He is also in the roster of the Argentinian national team.

   #13. Former international guard Juan Fernandez (193-90, college: Temple, currently plays in Italy) led Alma TR to an easy victory against the closely-ranked MIA-RO Cantu crushing them 102-82 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game. Fernandez scored 14 points in 25 minutes. Fernandez has averaged so far 9.6ppg, 1.6rpg, 3.6apg and 1.1spg in eight games. He used to play for the Argentinian national team four years ago.

   #14. Former international shooting guard Federico Van Lacke (191-80, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Gipuzkoa in their game against Real Madrid in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Van Lacke scored 9 points. His team was crushed by 33 points 104-71. Van Lacke has averaged so far 4.4ppg, 1.5rpg and 1.5apg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team back in 2013.

   #15. International center Daniel Amigo (208-95, college: Denver, currently plays in Hungary) couldn't help DEAC (1-1) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Amigo's good performance DEAC was defeated 85-76 in Paks by the lower-ranked Atomeromu (#10). He scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Amigo has averaged so far 8.9ppg and 5.0rpg. He is a naturalized American. Amigo used to play for the Argentinian national team last year. Strangely he has never played in Argentina.


The list of other players, who all have Argentinian passport but never been selected to any of Argentinian national teams:

   #1. Pablo Bertone (193-SG-90, agency: Interperformances, college: Florida Atlantic, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) led his Italian team Openjobmetis VA to a victory over the second-ranked Alba crushing them 91-66 in the FIBA Europe Cup in Wednesday night's game. Bertone was MVP of the game. He scored 17 points and added 3 passes. Openjobmetis Vareseis placed fourth in group K. It's Bertone's first season with the team. Bertone has relatively good stats this year: 10.5ppg, 1.5rpg and 2.3apg. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

   #2. Enzo Cafferata (187-PG-88, currently plays in Brazil). Cafferata could not help Mogi (12-6) to beat Vivo/Franca (10-1). He recorded 9 points and added 4 passes. But Mogi was defeated 95-89 at home by the leading Vivo/Franca. It's Cafferata's first season with the team. Cafferata has averaged so far 6.3ppg, 1.5rpg and 2.8apg.

   #3. Ariel Filloy (189-PG-87, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) was not able to help Sidigas AV (5-3) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Filloy's good performance Sidigas AV was crushed 79-49 on their home court in Avellino by the second-ranked Umana Venezia. He was the second best scorer with 10 points. Filloy also added 6 passes. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Filloy has averaged so far 6.6ppg, 4.0rpg and 3.5apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #4. Experienced Nicolas Ferreyra (185-PG-85, currently plays in Chile) contributed to a Deportivo Valdivia's victory against the third-ranked CD Castro (7-5) 116-106 in the Chilean Liga Nacional in Saturday night's game. Ferreyra scored 26 points (!!!), had 4 rebounds and dished 9 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) in 41 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Conferencia Sur. Club Deportivo Valdivia (8-4) is placed second in Conferencia Sur. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Ferreyra has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 17.6ppg, 2.6rpg and 6.9apg in 10 games he played so far.

   #5. Fabian Sahdi (186-PG-89, currently plays in Brazil) was not able to secure a victory for Sao Jose (12-4) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Sahdi's good performance Sao Jose was defeated 88-82 on the road by the lower-ranked Paulistano (#3). He recorded 10 points and added 9 passes (made all of his eight free throws). But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. This season Sahdi has relatively solid stats: 11.9ppg, 2.4rpg, 7.0apg and 1.7spg.

   #6. Marcelo Dip (205-C-84, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Italy) was the major contributor in Deco's victory against the fifth-ranked Viola RC 76-63 in the Italian Serie B (third division) on Sunday night. Dip scored 16 points, had 9 rebounds and dished 5 assists. Dip has reliable stats this season: 11.0ppg, 8.1rpg and 2.3apg. He has both Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #7. Enzo Damian Cena (200-F/C-92, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Olimpia Matera (7-2) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Cena's very good performance Olimpia Matera (#6) was defeated 83-75 in Capo d'Orlando by the lower-ranked Capo d'Orlando (#12) in the Group D. He was the top scorer with 25 points. Cena also added 9 rebounds. This season Cena has very high stats. He averages: 16.8ppg, 6.8rpg, 1.6apg and 1.3spg. Cena also holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #8. Bruno Cerella (194-G/F-86, another player represented by Players Group, currently plays in Italy) faced previously mentioned Ariel Filloy in the Italian Serie A last game. Cerella managed to help Umana Reyer Venezia in a victory against the closely-ranked Sidigas AV crushing them 79-49. He scored only one point in 13 minutes. Cerella has averaged so far 0.6ppg and 1.1rpg in eight games. Similarly like Cena and Dip above he has Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #9. Bernardo Musso (193-G-86, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) helped Novipiu Casale win their game against the tenth-ranked Benfapp CdO 96-82 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) last Sunday. Musso scored 14 points, grabbed 4 boards, dished 5 assists and stole 3 balls in 34 minutes. Musso has reliable stats this year: 13.5ppg, 4.3rpg, 3.3apg and 1.8spg in eight games. Similarly like three previous players above, he holds both Argentinian and Italian passports.

   #10. Brian Savoy (186-G-92, currently plays in Switzerland) helped Neuchatel win their game against the seventh-ranked Pully crushing them 81-55 in the Swiss SBL on Sunday night. Savoy scored 13 points and added 8 passes. Savoy has reliable stats this season: 13.8ppg, 2.3rpg and 5.1apg. He has Argentinian and Swiss nationalities.
