There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Salta Basket (5-4) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Independiente (5-4) 87-77. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Independiente made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Salta Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international forward Axel Weigand (202-85) scored 26 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Federico Mansilla (191-87) chipped in 15 points and 6 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Scott Cutley (196-85, college: CS Fullerton) with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Independiente moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Salta Basket. Independiente is looking forward to face league's second-placed Villa San Martin in Resistencia in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Salta Basket will play on the road against Obera TC and is hoping to win this game.
Very significant was La Union's (#5) 79-71 road victory against 6th ranked Ciclista. American Trevon Young (198-95, college: Eckerd) notched 26 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Manuel Lambrisca supported him with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Even 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists by Maximiliano Tamburini (178-96) did not help to save the game for Ciclista. Ciclista's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. La Union maintains fifth position with 4-5 record, which they share with BHY Tiro Federal. Ciclista lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Parque Sur. La Union will play against league's leader Estudiantes O. in Olavarria in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. A very interesting game took place in La Plata. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Parque Sur (3-6) to eighth ranked Gimnasia LP (2-6) 74-72 in the game for the sixth place. It was a good game for Agustin Zuvich who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Gimnasia LP's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Gimnasia LP moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Obera TC and Progreso Roca. Parque Sur at the other side dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Gimnasia LP's next round opponent will be higher ranked Chivilcoy Racing (#4) at home and it may be quite challenging game.
