Dar Tucker
DAR TUCKER

American-Jordanian Shooting guard Dar Tucker (193-SG-88) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked San Lorenzo, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 30-year old player was the main contributor (23 points, two rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass San Martin C. (#10, 3-3) with 37-point margin 114-77. It allowed San Lorenzo to take over top position in the Argentinian La Liga. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but San Lorenzo already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. It's Tucker's second year at San Lorenzo and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Dar Tucker averages this season 13.5ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was 32-year old Mariano Fierro (200-F-86) of Ferro. Fierro had a very good evening with 22 points and 8 rebounds. It was enough for Ferro to edge the lower-ranked Instituto (#11, 2-2) 85-80. This victory allowed Ferro to move up to 7th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 4-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Fierro is a newcomer at Ferro, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Dominican Rep. guard Gelvis Solano (185-G-94) of Olimpico LB (#12). Solano showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, five rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Olimpico LB, leading his team to a 92-73 easy win against the lower-ranked Penarol (#16, 2-5). Olimpico LB needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Solano has a very solid season. In 4 games in Argentina he scored 15.8ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Sebastian Vega (200-SF-88) of Gimnasia - 21 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Devon Scott (206-F/C-94) of Hispano Am. - 18 points and 6 rebounds
6. Augusto Alonso (187-SG-98) of Libertad S. - 18 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Coron Williams (185-PG-89) of La Union - 36 points and 2 assists
8. Jonathan Holton (203-F-91) of Obras Basket - 18 points and 8 rebounds
9. Lucas Gargallo (196-G/F-95) of Boca Jrs - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Todd Brown (196-F-87) of Penarol - 25 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
