   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Facundo Campazzo (181-91, currently plays in Spain). He could not help Real Madrid (15-5) in their last game. Despite Campazzo's very good performance Real Madrid was edged 103-102 on the road by the lower-ranked (#4) Unicaja Malaga. He had a double-double by scoring 17 points and making 11 passes. Campazzo also added 5 rebounds (made all of his five free throws) in 34 minutes on the court. This year Campazzo averages: 9.1ppg, 2.6rpg, 5.4apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 40.3%, 3FGP: 31.0% and FT: 89.5% in 17 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international guard Luca Vildoza (190-95, currently plays in Spain). Vildoza was the major contributor in Baskonia's victory against the 16th-ranked Gran Canaria (6-14) 101-83 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday. He recorded 22 points, 3 assists and 4 steals (made all of his seven free throws). Kirolbet Baskonia Vitoria (14-6) is placed third in the Liga Endesa. Vildoza's overall stats this season are: 8.4ppg, 1.8rpg, 2.1apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 54.3%, 3FGP: 39.4% and FT: 82.1%. He is in the roster of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #3. The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Franco Balbi (185-89, currently plays in Brazil). Balbi led Flamengo to a victory over the closely-ranked Vivo/Franca (14-3) 79-74 in the Brazilian NBB in Tuesday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Balbi scored 16 points, made 6 passes and 3 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (8-2) is placed second in the NBB. It's Balbi's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year: 10.7ppg, 4.0rpg, 6.0apg, 1.8spg, 3FGP: 34.3%. Balbi is also a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

He is an international player who is currently on the senior Argentinian National Team roster.

Former international guard Juan Fernandez (193-90, college: Temple, currently plays in Italy) contributed to an Alma TR's victory against the 12th-ranked Germani BR (8-11) 85-77 in the Italian Serie A on Sunday night. Fernandez scored 12 points. Alma-Agenzia Per Il Lavoro Trieste (9-10) is placed eighth in the Serie A. This season Fernandez has relatively solid stats: 10.6ppg, 1.7rpg, 3.0apg and 1.1spg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team five years ago.

Guard Cristian Cortes (185-90, also represented by Best of You Sports, currently plays in Mexico) couldn't help Fuerza Regia (29-8) in their game against Lenadores (23-14) in the Mexican LNBP (second division). Cortes scored 6 points in 18 minutes. The first-placed Fuerza Regia (29-8) was edged 82-79 by the lower-ranked (#3) Lenadores in the North group. They ended the series of thirteen consecutive victories. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Van Lacke scored 7 points, made 4 passes and 3 steals. Delteco Gipuzkoa BC San Sebastian (4-16) closes the standings in the Liga Endesa. But the situation may improve as they ended a series of ten consecutive loses. Van Lacke has averaged so far 5.5ppg, 1.5rpg and 1.7apg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team six years ago.

   #10. Center Daniel Amigo (208-95, college: Denver, currently plays in Hungary) couldn't help DEAC (4-4) in their game against Falco-Vulcano (12-7) in the Hungarian A Division. Amigo recorded 6 points in 24 minutes. DEAC lost 96-103 in Szombathely to the higher-ranked (#4) Falco-Vulcano. Amigo has averaged so far 10.0ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.1apg in 18 games. He is a naturalized American. Amigo is a former international player as two years ago he still played for the Argentinian senior national team. Strangely he has never played in Argentina.

   #11. International point guard Lucio Redivo (183-94, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Cafes Candelas Breogan Lugo to win against one of league's weakest teams UCAM Murcia 77-73 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game. Redivo scored only 2 points. Redivo has reliable stats this season: 11.6ppg, 1.9rpg and 2.6apg. He plays currently for the Argentinian national team.

   #12. Former international forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Austria) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Deutsch-Wagram crushing them 83-52 in the Austrian 2.Bundesliga (second division) on Sunday night. Vay scored 22 points, had 7 boards, dished 6 assists and stole 4 balls in 28 minutes. Vay has very impressive stats this year: 25.1ppg, 10.3rpg, 4.7apg and 1.4spg in 16 games. He used to play for the Argentinian national team back in 2009.

   #13. Former U16 international small forward Juan Manuel Caceres (200-84, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Lecco in their game against Padova in the Italian Serie B (third division). Caceres scored only 4 points in 24 minutes. His team was edged 75-74. Caceres has averaged so far 8.8ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.6apg in 19 games. He used to play for the Argentinian U16 national team seventeen years ago.

   #14. Former U17 international guard Facundo Arens (193-97, currently plays in NCAA2) contributed to an easy victory against the Bloomsburg St. crushing them 99-77 in the NCAA2 on Wednesday night. Arens recorded 7 points in 21 minutes. Arens has averaged so far 6.4ppg, 2.9rpg and 1.8apg in 23 games. He used to play for the Argentinian U17 national team back in 2014.

   #15. U21 international point guard Lautaro Lopez (188-99, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Baskonia in their game against Gijon in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division). Despite his good performance on Saturday night Lopez scored 10 points, had 4 boards, passed 6 assists and added 4 steals. Lopez averaged so far 10.1ppg, 3.6rpg, 3.4apg and 1.6spg. He is also in the roster of the Argentinian U21 national team.


The list of other players, who all have Argentinian passport but never been selected to any of Argentinian national teams:

   #1. Ariel Filloy (189-PG-87, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) could not help Sidigas AV (12-7) in their last game. Despite Filloy's very good performance Sidigas AV was crushed 88-66 on the road by the lower-ranked (#7) Virtus Bologna. He was the second best scorer with 18 points. Filloy also added 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 27 minutes. It was Sidigas AV's third consecutive loss in a row. This year Filloy's overall stats are: 9.6ppg, 4.6rpg, 4.2apg and 1.2spg in 18 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

   #2. Experienced Andres Forray (187-PG-86, currently plays in Italy) was the major contributor in a Dolomiti En. TR's surprising victory against the second-ranked Umana Venezia (13-6) 81-77 in the Italian Serie A last Sunday. Forray recorded 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Dolomiti Energia Trento (9-10) is placed 11th in the Serie A. Forray has been at the team for eight years. His total stats this season are: 6.4ppg, 1.6rpg and 1.9apg. Forray is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #3. Bruno Cerella (194-G/F-86, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) managed to help Umana Reyer Venezia in a victory against the seventh-ranked Fribourg (3-11) 72-62 in the Basketball Champions League on Tuesday night. He scored 5 points in 18 minutes. Umana Reyer Venezia (10-4) is placed second in group B. There are only two games left until the end of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Cerella averages only 3.0ppg in nine games. Similarly like Forray and Filloy above he has both Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #4. Fabian Sahdi (186-PG-89, currently plays in Brazil) was not able to help Sao Jose in their game against Pinheiros (16-3) in the Brazilian NBB. Sahdi scored 8 points, made 6 passes and 3 steals. Sao Jose was badly defeated 83-67 at home by the leading Pinheiros. This season Sahdi has relatively solid stats: 11.2ppg, 3.4rpg, 7.7apg and 1.6spg.

   #5. Ariel Eslava (201-F/C-79, currently plays in Liga Americas) contributed to Guaros' victory against the closely-ranked Leones (0-3) 83-79 in the Liga Americas last Saturday. He scored 9 points in 20 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Guaros de Lara (3-0) is placed first in the Liga Americas. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. The Regular Season already ended in the Liga Americas. This year Eslava averages only 4.5ppg in two games. He also holds two passports: Spanish and Argentinian.

   #6. Juan Bergel (190-SG-89, currently plays in Israel) led Maccabi Haifa to a victory against the ninth-ranked H.Haifa 90-78 in a derby game in the Israeli National League (second division) in Wednesday night's game. Bergel scored 17 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 34 minutes. This year Bergel's total stats are: 5.4ppg and 1.6rpg in 16 games. He has dual citizenship: Argentinian and Israeli.

   #7. Albano Chiarastella (199-F-85, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in Italy) contributed to a Eurotrend BI's victory against the 15th-ranked FCL Contract LG 78-74 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) last Sunday. Chiarastella scored only 4 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Chiarastella's total stats this season are: 4.3ppg, 6.1rpg and 1.9apg. He holds both Argentinian and Italian passports.

   #8. Nicolas Ferreyra (185-PG-85, currently plays in Chile) helped Deportivo Valdivia win their game against the fourth-ranked Puente Alto 88-81 in the Chilean Liga Nacional last Sunday. Ferreyra recorded 11 points and added 6 passes (made all of his five free throws) in 34 minutes. Ferreyra has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.5ppg, 2.8rpg and 6.5apg in 26 games.

   #9. Juan Martin Cardenas (91, currently plays in Chile) is a teammate of previously mentioned Nicolas Ferreyra. But that was another game of his team in Chilean Liga Nacional which we would like to mention. Cardenas helped Deportivo Valdivia win their game against the sixth-ranked Universidad Catolica crushing them 85-59. He scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Cardenas has averaged so far 3.0ppg and 1.5apg.

   #10. Marcelo Dip (205-C-84, also represented by Players Group, currently plays in Italy) helped Deco win their game against the seventh-ranked Roma S.Azzurra 64-60 in the Italian Serie B (third division) in Sunday night's game. He scored 7 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 18 minutes. Dip has reliable stats this year: 10.2ppg, 7.2rpg and 2.1apg in 18 games. He has dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.
