An interesting game for Ferro (15-7) which hosted in Buenos Aires 4th ranked Regatas Corrientes (13-10). Third ranked Ferro managed to get a 11-point victory 91-80. Ferro outrebounded Regatas Corrientes 43-29 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Mariano Fierro (200-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Mauro Cosolito (195-88) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Tayavek Gallizzi (206-93) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for Regatas Corrientes. Ferro moved-up to second place. Regatas Corrientes at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Ferro are looking forward to face Instituto (#5) in Cordoba in the next round. Regatas Corrientes will play on the road against Gimnasia in Comodoro Rivadavia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Sixteenth-ranked Penarol (5-14) used its home court advantage to challenge twelfth ranked Estudiantes C. (11-11) in Mar del Plata. The visitors from Concordia managed to secure only one-point victory 69-68. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Leandro Vildoza (180-94) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and Daviyon Draper who added 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Naturalized Italian center Damian Tintorelli (204-81) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Penarol's coach Leonardo Gutierrez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Estudiantes C. moved-up to eleventh place. Penarol lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Quilmes MP. Estudiantes C. will play against Libertad Sunchales (#19) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Penarol will play against La Union in Formosa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Boca Juniors (12-9) and Olimpico de La Banda (10-10), which took place in Buenos Aires. Higher ranked Boca Juniors lost at home to thirteenth ranked Olimpico de La Banda 71-76 on Thursday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Boca Juniors. The winners were led by Gelvis Solano who scored that evening 15 points and 7 assists. Even 15 points and 5 rebounds by Adrian Boccia did not help to save the game for Boca Juniors. Olimpico de La Banda moved-up to twelfth place. Loser Boca Juniors keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Obras Basket. Olimpico de La Banda will meet at home higher ranked Quimsa (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Boca Juniors will have a break next round.
Another upset was a game between Quimsa (11-9) and La Union (9-12), which took place in Santiado del Estero. Higher ranked Quimsa lost at home to fourteenth ranked La Union 75-84. The best player for the winners was Keith Wright who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. La Union maintains fourteenth position with 9-12 record. Quimsa at the other side keeps the eighth place with nine games lost. La Union's next round opponent will be Penarol (#16) in Mar del Plata.
Another upset was a game between Estudiantes C. (11-11) and Quilmes MP (5-14), which took place in Mar del Plata. Higher ranked Estudiantes C. lost to eighteenth ranked Quilmes MP in a road game 80-85 on Tuesday. Lucas Ortiz orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 6 assists. Quilmes MP moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Penarol. Loser Estudiantes C. dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Quilmes MP will face higher ranked Bahia Basket (#15) in Bahia Blanca in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.

In the last game of round 20 Gimnasia beat Argentino on the road 97-87.

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Gimnasia (14-7) beat 18th ranked Argentino (5-17) in Junin 97-87 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Argentino 45-26 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dominican center Eloy Vargas (211-88, college: Kentucky, agency: Duran International) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds. Center Diego Romero (206-82, college: Florida St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Leron Black (201-96, college: Illinois) replied with 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and swingman Guido Mariani (193-94) added 16 points and 5 assists in the effort for Argentino. Five Gimnasia and four Argentino players scored in double figures. Gimnasia maintains third position with 14-7 record despite having the same number of points like the leader San Lorenzo. Loser Argentino keeps the eighteenth place with 17 games lost. Gimnasia will face Regatas Corrientes (#4) at home in the next round.
