Here is the weekly review of the top performing Argentinian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Luca Vildoza (190-95, currently plays in Euroleague). He could not help Baskonia (15-14) in their last game. Despite Vildoza's very good performance Baskonia lost 92-102 at home to the higher-ranked (#4) Anadolu Efes. He was the top scorer with 23 points. Vildoza also added made 5 passes and 3 steals in 34 minutes on the court. His team will play only one more game in the Euroleague Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This year Vildoza averages: 9.8ppg, 2.2rpg, 3.9apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 46.2%, 3FGP: 41.1% and FT: 86.8% in 29 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international guard Nicolas Laprovittola (190-90, currently plays in Spain). Laprovittola was not able to help Joventut (13-10) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Joventut was defeated 88-81 on their home court in Badalona by the much lower-ranked Leche Rio Breogan (#16). Laprovittola was the top scorer with 25 points. He also added 5 assists. Laprovittola has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 17.0ppg, 2.4rpg, 6.4apg, 2FGP: 52.5%, 3FGP: 38.7% and FT: 76.5%. Laprovittola is in the roster of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #3. The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Facundo Campazzo (181-91, currently plays in Spain). He contributed to a Real Madrid's victory against the tenth-ranked CB Canarias (12-12) 91-82 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night. Campazzo recorded 9 points and added 3 assists in 23 minutes. Real Madrid (19-5) is placed second in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. This year Campazzo's overall stats are: 9.2ppg, 2.5rpg, 5.0apg, 2FGP: 46.2%, 3FGP: 27.2% and FT: 88.0% in 23 games. He is also a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

But the first-placed CB Canarias (12-2) was edged 75-73 on the road by the second-ranked Hapoel Jerusalem in the group B of Basketball Champions League. Brussino's total stats this season are: 8.7ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.6apg. He is also Argentinian national team player.

Balbi recorded 15 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in 22 minutes. Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (22-4) is placed first in the NBB. It was his team's 11th consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. Balbi has relatively good stats this year: 10.3ppg, 3.6rpg, 5.7apg and 1.8spg in 26 games. He plays currently for the Argentinian national team.

Guard Juan Fernandez (193-90, college: Temple, currently plays in Italy) was the major contributor in an Alma TR's victory against the 12th-ranked MIA-RO Cantu (12-12) crushing them 88-66 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game. He scored 14 points and added 3 assists in a mere 18 minutes. Alma-Agenzia Per Il Lavoro Trieste (13-11) is placed seventh in the Serie A. This year Fernandez's total stats are: 9.7ppg, 1.6rpg and 2.8apg in 24 games. He is a former international player as he played for the Argentinian senior team five years ago.

Former U18 international shooting guard Enzo Ruiz (193-88, currently plays in Brazil) led Paschoalotto/Bauru to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Joinville (5-21) 84-76 in the Brazilian NBB last Sunday. Ruiz was MVP of the game. He recorded 21 points. Paschoalotto/Bauru (13-5) is placed second in the NBB. They ended the series of three consecutive loses. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This season Ruiz has relatively solid stats: 11.0ppg, 3.4rpg, 2.1apg and 1.1spg. He used to play for the Argentinian U18 national team thirteen years ago.

   #8. Center Daniel Amigo (208-95, college: Denver, currently plays in Hungary) couldn't help DEAC (13-12) in their last game. Despite Amigo's very good performance DEAC lost 89-93 in Pecs to the lower-ranked (#6) PVSK-Veolia. He was the second best scorer with 19 points. Amigo also added 5 rebounds in 27 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Amigo's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important. Amigo has reliable stats this year: 10.1ppg and 5.8rpg in 23 games. He is a naturalized American. Amigo used to play for the Argentinian national team back in 2017. Strangely he has never played in Argentina.

   #9. International point guard Lucio Redivo (183-94, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Leche Rio Breogan (8-15) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Redivo's very good performance Leche Rio Breogan was defeated 96-92 in Madrid by the higher-ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (#14). He scored 15 points. It's Redivo's first season with the team. Redivo's stats this year are: 10.9ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.2apg. He is also in the roster of the Argentinian national team.

   #10. An experienced point guard Nicolas Richotti (183-86, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Nicolas Brussino. He played also in the last Spanish Liga Endesa game facing Facundo Campazzo (above) in the other team. Richotti couldn't help CB Canarias (12-12) in their game against Real Madrid (19-5). He recorded 5 points in 15 minutes. CB Canarias lost 82-91 in Madrid to the second-ranked Real. Richotti has been at the team for nine years. Richotti has averaged so far 4.1ppg and 1.2rpg in 10 games. He is a former international player as three years ago he still played for the Argentinian senior national team.

   #11. International center Marcos Delia (211-92, agency: Best of You Sports, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Nicolas Laprovittola and both played together in the last Spanish Liga Endesa game. Delia couldn't help Joventut in their game against Leche Rio Breogan. He recorded only 4 points and blocked 2 blocks in 12 minutes. His team lost 81-88. Delia has averaged so far 5.2ppg and 2.2rpg in 10 games. He plays currently for the Argentinian national team.

   #12. Former international shooting guard Federico Van Lacke (191-80, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Gipuzkoa in their game against Andorra in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Van Lacke cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His team was defeated 84-72. Van Lacke has averaged so far 4.5ppg, 1.5rpg and 1.7apg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team back in 2013.

   #13. Former international forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Austria) was the main contributor in Flames' victory against the second-ranked Blackbirds 95-81 in the Austrian 2.Bundesliga (second division) on Friday night. Vay was the best player in that game. He scored 37 points (!!!), grabbed 7 boards, dished 6 assists and stole 3 balls. This season Vay has very high stats. He averages: 26.0ppg, 10.5rpg, 4.5apg and 1.4spg. Vay used to play for the Argentinian national team ten years ago.

   #14. Former U17 international small forward Leandro Bolmaro (198-0, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Barca II in their game against Leyma Basquet in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). He scored only 4 points and added 4 assists. His team was defeated 58-49. Bolmaro averaged so far 10.6ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.4apg and 1.3spg. He used to play for the Argentinian U17 national team back in 2017.

   #15. International guard Francisco Farabello (188-0, currently plays in Australia) helped BA CoE win their game against the third-ranked Dandenong Rangers 99-88 in the Australian State League (second division) in Friday night's game. Farabello scored 11 points and added 7 assists in 24 minutes. Farabello has averaged so far 7.0ppg, 2.0rpg and 5.0apg in three games. He is also in the roster of the Argentinian national team.


The list of other players, who all have Argentinian passport but never been selected to any of Argentinian national teams:

   #1. Experienced Nicolas Ferreyra (185-PG-85, currently plays in Chile) led Deportivo Valdivia to an easy victory against the fourth-ranked AB Ancud (19-13) crushing them 96-70 in the Chilean Liga Nacional on Sunday night. Ferreyra recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and making 12 passes. Club Deportivo Valdivia (20-12) is placed second in Conferencia Sur. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. It's Ferreyra's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Ferreyra averages: 15.4ppg, 2.6rpg and 6.5apg.

   #2. Ariel Filloy (189-PG-87, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Italy). Filloy could not help Sidigas AV (14-10) to beat VL Pesaro (7-17). He cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. Filloy scored only 3 points and added 4 passes. Sidigas AV was edged 91-89 on the road by the much lower-ranked VL Pesaro (#14). Filloy has averaged so far 9.1ppg, 4.1rpg, 4.3apg and 1.1spg. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

   #3. Andres Forray (187-PG-86, currently plays in Italy) managed to help Dolomiti Energia Trento in a victory against one of league's weakest teams Fiat TO (6-18) 95-87 in the Italian Serie A in Saturday night's game. Forray scored 5 points in 23 minutes. Dolomiti Energia Trento (13-11) is placed eighth in the Serie A. Forray plays eighth season for the team. He has averaged so far 6.5ppg, 1.9rpg and 1.8apg in 24 games he played so far. Forray is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #4. Bruno Cerella (194-G/F-86, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Italy) contributed to an Umana Venezia's victory against the closely-ranked Sidigas AV (14-10) 76-65 in the Italian Serie A last Sunday. He scored only 2 points. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Umana Reyer Venezia (17-7) is placed second in the Serie A. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This season Cerella averages just 1.0ppg. Similarly like Forray and Filloy above he has both Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #5. Albano Chiarastella (199-F-85, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in Italy) contributed to a Edilnol Bl's victory against the 13th-ranked Bertram TRT (11-16) 85-81 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) in Sunday night's game. Chiarastella scored only 2 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 6 assists. Edilnol Pallacanestro Biella (15-12) is placed seventh in West group. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Chiarastella has averaged so far 4.6ppg, 6.0rpg and 2.0apg. Similarly like three previous players above, he also holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #6. Bernardo Musso (193-G-86, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) led Novipiu Casale to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Givova Scafati 102-84 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) last Sunday. Musso scored 14 points, had 4 boards, passed 3 assists and added 4 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) in 23 minutes. Musso averaged so far 12.3ppg, 4.0rpg, 3.4apg and 1.6spg in 25 games. He holds both Argentinian and Italian passports.

   #7. Enzo Damian Cena (200-F/C-92, currently plays in Italy) led Olimpia Matera to a victory over the seventh-ranked Roma S.Azzurra 75-64 in the Italian Serie B (third division) on Sunday night. Cena was the best player in that game. He scored 21 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and made 2 blocks. Cena averaged so far 14.3ppg, 7.3rpg, 1.6apg and 1.5spg. Similarly like five previous players above, he has Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #8. Emiliano Paparella (184-PG-83, another player represented by Players Group, currently plays in Italy) was not able to help Fabriano (17-8) in their last game. Despite Paparella's very good performance Fabriano (#3) was crushed 73-52 in San Severo by the leading San Severo in the Group C. He was the top scorer with 16 points. Paparella also added 4 boards, passed 5 assists and added 3 steals in 30 minutes. Paparella averaged so far 11.1ppg, 3.4rpg, 3.3apg and 1.3spg in 23 games. He has dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

   #9. Fabian Sahdi (186-PG-89, currently plays in Brazil) was not able to secure a victory for Sao Jose in their game against Paulistano in the Brazilian NBB. Sahdi scored only 4 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 8 assists. His team was defeated 73-65. Sahdi averaged so far 10.6ppg, 3.4rpg, 7.4apg and 1.4spg.

   #10. Dante Richotti (179-PG-85, currently plays in Italy) was the major contributor in Scauri's victory against the 11th-ranked Capo d'Orlando 79-70 in the Italian Serie B (third division) on Sunday night. He had a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 11 rebounds. Richotti also added 6 assists and 3 steals in 35 minutes. Richotti has averaged so far 9.5ppg, 4.1rpg, 4.5apg and 1.4spg in 23 games. He has Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

Lisandro Rasio (ex Salta Basket) signs at Panteras - 1 day ago
Panteras de Miranda (LPB) landed 28-year old Argentinian power forward Lisandro Rasio (198-90, agency: Pro Sports). He moved there from Salta Basket in Argentinian La Liga where he started the season. In 41 games he averaged impressive 17.9ppg, 10.9rpg and 2.7apg this season. He was also selected League Player of the Week (4 times). The last season Rasio played at Los Leones (Liga Nacional) in Chilean league.
