The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 3 rounds. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Olimpico (24-12) in Santa Fe on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Union SF (22-16) 84-80. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Olimpico. Union SF forced 19 Olimpico turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Gaston Marozzi (196-95) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Alejandro Zilli (201-82) who added 8 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Pablo Martinez (197-82) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds. Union SF have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 22-16 record having two points less than leader Olimpico Ceres. Newly promoted Olimpico still keeps top place with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Important game to mention about took place in Chivilcoy. Third ranked Racing Chivilcoy (21-16) saved a 2-point victory at home edging top-ranked Deportivo Viedma (23-14) 75-73 on Friday evening. The winners were led by point guard Alejo Barrales (175-91) who scored that evening 19 points and 7 assists and Tyrone OGarro supported him with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds by American Kenny Jones (198-84, college: Kentucky St.) did not help to save the game for Deportivo Viedma. Racing Chivilcoy have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Racing Chivilcoy maintains third position with 21-16 record having four points less than leader Olimpico Ceres. Deportivo Viedma at the other side still keeps top place with 14 games lost. Racing Chivilcoy will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Deportivo Viedma will play at home against Progreso and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Seventh-ranked Echague (7-29) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Independiente (14-20) in Parana on Friday. The visitors from Santiago del Estero managed to secure only three-point victory 91-88. However their fans expected easier game. The best player for the winners was Alejo Crotti who scored 27 points and 4 assists. Facundo Toia produced 27 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the hosts. Independiente maintains fifth position with 14-20 record. Loser Echague keeps the seventh place with 29 games lost. They share the position with Sportivo America. Independiente will meet at home Tiro Federal (#6) in the next round. Echague will have a break next round.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Atenas (19-17) against fourth ranked Rocamora (20-16) on Saturday night. Visiting Atenas was crushed by Rocamora in Rocamora 73-54. Mauro Araujo orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rocamora maintains fourth position with 20-16 record. Atenas at the other side keeps the second place with 17 games lost. Rocamora's next round opponent will be Gimnasia LP (#7) in La Plata. Atenas will play on the road against La Union (#8) in Colon and hope to win that game.
The game between Top Four teams took place in San Francisco. Second ranked host San Isidro (27-9) defeated 4th ranked Deportivo Norte (18-19) 80-71.
