Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most exciting game of round 25 in the La Liga took place in Comodoro Rivadavia. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Instituto (15-7) to seventh ranked Gimnasia (15-10) 83-80 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Instituto. Dominican center Eloy Vargas (211-88, college: Kentucky, agency: Duran International) fired 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international Sebastian Vega (200-88) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. The former international swingman Luciano Gonzalez (190-90) produced 19 points and 5 assists for lost side. Gimnasia moved-up to sixth place. Instituto at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Gimnasia are looking forward to face higher ranked Obras Basket (#4) in Buenos Aires in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Instituto will play on the road against Boca Juniors in Buenos Aires and is hoping to win this game.
Bottom-ranked Libertad Sunchales managed to get a seventh victory. This time newly promoted Libertad Sunchales won against twelfth-ranked La Union 91-76. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 15-point difference suggests that Libertad Sunchales is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. Worth to mention a great performance of Martin Cuello (193-93) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 assists. Nicolas Copello contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Keith Wright (203-89, college: Harvard) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for La Union. La Union's coach Gabriel Piccato rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Libertad Sunchales (7-18) moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Penarol. La Union at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Libertad Sunchales will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. La Union will play at home against Estudiantes C. (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Concordia, where 8th ranked Comunicaciones (13-13) lost to eleventh ranked Estudiantes C. (13-12) in a road game 77-83 on Saturday. Eduardo Gamboa stepped up and scored 29 points and 5 assists for the winners. At the losing side Novar Gadson responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Estudiantes C. moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Boca Jrs. Loser Comunicaciones dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. Estudiantes C. will meet La Union (#12) in the next round. Comunicaciones will play against Quilmes MP in Mar del Plata and hope to secure a win.
An interesting game took place in Mar del Plata, where higher ranked San Martin Corrientes (12-13) was outleveled in a road game by twentieth ranked Penarol (7-18) 112-88. Damian Tintorelli nailed 19 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winning side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Penarol moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Libertad S. San Martin Corrientes lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Penarol's next round opponent will be higher ranked Comunicaciones (#10) in Mercedes and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
An interesting game took place in Mar del Plata, where higher ranked San Martin Corrientes (12-13) lost to sixteenth ranked Quilmes MP (8-16) in a road game 79-83 on Saturday. Lucas Ortiz fired 26 points and 5 assists for the winners. San Martin Corrientes' coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Quilmes MP maintains sixteenth place with 8-16 record. San Martin Corrientes lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Quilmes MP will face higher ranked Comunicaciones (#10) in Mercedes in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.

Boca Jrs - Atenas 103-81

There was no surprise in Buenos Aires where 19th ranked Atenas (6-18) was crushed by eleventh ranked Boca Juniors (13-12) 103-81 on Monday. Boca Juniors looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Atenas' players. Cuban power forward Jasiel Rivero (204-93, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Boca Juniors will face higher ranked Instituto (#5) in Cordoba in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
