The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked San Lorenzo (27-4) in Cordoba on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by twentieth ranked Atenas (10-23) 99-95. Atenas dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to San Lorenzo's 32. 28 personal fouls committed by San Lorenzo helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward Leon Williams (203-86, college: Ohio) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. The former international Nicolas Romano (200-87) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American-Jordanian Dar Tucker (193-88, college: DePaul) replied with 34 points (!!!) for San Lorenzo. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Atenas maintains twentieth position with 10-23 record. Defending champion San Lorenzo still keeps top place with four games lost. Atenas are looking forward to face higher ranked Estudiantes C. (#8) in Concordia in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. San Lorenzo will play at home against Comunicaciones (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
