We bring you last week's top performances from Argentinians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Facundo Campazzo (181-91, currently plays in Spain). He led Real Madrid to a 2-point victory over the league outsider UCAM Murcia (8-21) 82-80 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Thursday night's game. Campazzo was MVP of the game. He scored 20 points, made 3 passes and 3 steals in 21 minutes on the court. Real Madrid (24-5) is placed first in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's tenth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Campazzo has relatively good stats this year: 10.4ppg, 2.5rpg, 5.0apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 45.9%, 3FGP: 31.3% and FT: 89.4% in 27 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

Brussino led his Spanish team CB Canarias to a victory over the fourth-ranked Antwerp Giants (6-8) 70-54 in the Basketball Champions League last Friday. He was the best player in that game. Brussino recorded 17 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Iberostar Tenerife CB Canarias (12-2) is placed first in group B. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This season Brussino averages: 9.5ppg, 3.6rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 67.4%(29-43), 3FGP: 47.9%(34-71) and FT: 87.0%. He is in the roster of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #3. The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international small forward Patricio Garino (198-93, college: GWU, currently plays in Spain). Garino contributed to Baskonia's victory against the 15th-ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (10-19) 101-92 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night. He scored 11 points in 22 minutes. Kirolbet Baskonia Vitoria (23-6) is placed second in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This year Garino's overall stats are: 6.6ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 72.7%(24-33), 3FGP: 39.5% in 16 games. He is also a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #4. Point guard Franco Balbi (185-89, currently plays in Brazil) was the major contributor in Flamengo's victory against the seventh-ranked Botafogo F.R. (12-14) 79-77 in a derby game in the Brazilian NBB in Friday night's game. Balbi recorded 18 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists. Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (22-4) is placed first in the NBB. It was his team's 11th consecutive victory in a row. This season Balbi has relatively solid stats: 10.7ppg, 3.7rpg, 5.7apg and 1.8spg. He is also Argentinian national team player.

Despite Laprovittola's good performance Joventut lost 72-79 on the road to the higher-ranked (#7) CB Canarias. He scored 10 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 9 assists in 36 minutes. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. It's Laprovittola's first season with the team. Laprovittola has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.5ppg, 2.5rpg and 6.4apg in 30 games. Laprovittola plays currently for the Argentinian national team.

Vildoza's total stats this season are: 8.7ppg, 1.7rpg, 2.9apg and 1.6spg. He is also Argentinian national team player.

Center Marcos Delia (211-92, agency: Best of You Sports, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Nicolas Laprovittola and both played together in the last Spanish Liga Endesa game. Delia was not able to help Joventut (15-14) in their last game. Despite his good performance Joventut lost 72-79 in Tenerife to the higher-ranked (#7) CB Canarias. Delia was the second best scorer with 11 points. He also added 4 rebounds in only a mere 13 minutes. This year Delia's total stats are: 5.5ppg and 2.1rpg in 16 games. He plays currently for the Argentinian national team.

International point guard Lucio Redivo (183-94, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Leche Rio Breogan (9-19) in their game against Valencia Basket (19-10) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Despite his very good performance last Saturday Redivo was the top scorer with 18 points. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. Redivo has reliable stats this season: 11.0ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.2apg. He is also in the roster of the Argentinian national team.

He played also in the last Spanish Liga Endesa game facing Nicolas Laprovittola (above) in the other team. Richotti contributed to an CB Canarias' victory against the closely-ranked Joventut (15-14) 79-72. He scored only 4 points in 14 minutes. Richotti has been at the team for nine years. Richotti has averaged so far 4.1ppg and 1.1apg in 15 games. He is a former international player as three years ago he still played for the Argentinian senior national team.

   #11. Former international center Daniel Amigo (208-95, college: Denver, currently plays in Hungary) contributed to an easy victory against the third-ranked Sopron KC 99-82 in the Hungarian A Division in Wednesday night's game. Amigo recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks. Amigo averaged so far 11.8ppg and 6.4rpg. He is a naturalized American. Amigo used to play for the Argentinian national team two years ago. Strangely he has never played in Argentina.

   #12. Former international point guard Juan Pablo Cantero (184-82, currently plays in Portugal) contributed to a 3-point Benfica's victory against the third-ranked FC Porto 76-73 in the Portuguese LPB on Sunday night. He recorded 10 points. Cantero has averaged so far 6.7ppg, 1.9rpg and 4.6apg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team back in 2010.

   #13. Former international guard Juan Fernandez (193-90, college: Temple, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Alma TR in their game against Happy Casa BR in the Italian Serie A. Fernandez recorded 6 points in only 12 minutes. His team lost 77-85. He has averaged so far 9.7ppg, 1.6rpg and 2.6apg in 28 games. Fernandez used to play for the Argentinian national team five years ago.

   #14. Former international shooting guard Federico Van Lacke (191-80, currently plays in Spain) contributed to Gipuzkoa's victory against the league outsider UCAM Murcia 74-61 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday. He scored only 3 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Van Lacke has averaged so far 4.1ppg, 1.5rpg and 1.6apg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team back in 2013.

   #15. Former U17 international small forward Leandro Bolmaro (198-0, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Barca II in their game against RETAbet BB in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). He recorded 7 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. His team was defeated 84-76. Bolmaro averaged so far 10.4ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.7apg and 1.2spg. He used to play for the Argentinian U17 national team two years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Argentinian passport but never been selected to any of Argentinian national teams:

   #1. Experienced Andres Forray (187-PG-86, currently plays in Italy) could not help Dolomiti En. TR (16-13) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance Dolomiti En. TR was edged 79-77 at home by the leading Armani Milano. Forray scored 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Forray has been at the team for eight years. Forray's total stats this season are: 7.0ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.8apg and 1.1spg. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

   #2. Nicolas Ferreyra (185-PG-85, currently plays in Chile) led Deportivo Valdivia to a victory against the third-ranked Los Leones (18-14) 102-95 in the Chilean Liga Nacional in Sunday night's game. Ferreyra recorded 19 points, 4 assists and 3 steals in 37 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Conferencia Sur. Club Deportivo Valdivia (20-12) is placed second in Conferencia Sur. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Ferreyra has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.7ppg, 2.3rpg and 6.2apg in 45 games he played so far.

   #3. Ariel Filloy (189-PG-87, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) was not able to help Sidigas AV in their game against Happy Casa BR (18-11) in the Italian Serie A. Filloy scored 8 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 24 minutes. Sidigas AV lost 83-87 on their home court in Avellino to the higher-ranked (#4) Happy Casa BR. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. This year Filloy's total stats are: 9.0ppg, 3.9rpg and 4.4apg in 25 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #4. Albano Chiarastella (199-F-85, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in Italy) contributed to a Edilnol Bl's victory against the fifth-ranked GSA Udine (18-12) 73-67 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) last Thursday. Chiarastella scored 11 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 31 minutes. Edilnol Pallacanestro Biella (16-12) is placed sixth in West group. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. This year Chiarastella's total stats are: 4.5ppg, 6.3rpg and 2.4apg in 31 games. He has both Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #5. Marcelo Dip (205-C-84, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for Deco (27-3) in their game against Nardo (15-13) in the Italian Serie B (third division). Despite his very good performance on Sunday night Dip was the top scorer with 23 points. He also added 9 rebounds and made 2 blocks. Dip has reliable stats this season: 10.9ppg, 7.0rpg and 2.0apg. Similarly like Chiarastella and Filloy above he also holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #6. Bernardo Musso (193-G-86, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Novipiu Casale in their game against Tezenis VER in the Italian Serie A2 (second division), despite his very good performance last Sunday. Musso was the top scorer with 20 points in 23 minutes. But his team was edged 78-76. His stats this year are: 12.6ppg, 3.6rpg, 3.2apg and 1.4spg in 31 games. Similarly like three previous players above, Musso holds both Argentinian and Italian passports.

   #7. Mario Jose Ghersetti (201-PF-81, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Pompea MNV in their game against Bergamo Bsk in the Italian Serie A2 (second division), despite his very good performance on Friday night. Ghersetti was the top scorer with 19 points. He also added 3 assists in 31 minutes. But his team lost 69-78. Ghersetti's stats this year are: 11.1ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.3apg in 33 games. He has Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #8. Bruno Cerella (194-G/F-86, another player represented by Players Group, currently plays in Italy) managed to help Umana Reyer Venezia to win against the 14th-ranked Grissin Bon RE 76-71 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game. Cerella recorded only one point. This season he averages only 1.0ppg. Similarly like five previous players above, Cerella has dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

   #9. Emiliano Paparella (184-PG-83, another player represented by Players Group, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Fabriano in their game against Cuore Napoli in the Italian Serie B (third division), despite his very good performance last Thursday. He was the top scorer with 13 points. Paparella also added 4 rebounds in 37 minutes. But his team lost 61-71. His stats this year are: 11.0ppg, 3.4rpg, 3.0apg and 1.3spg in 28 games. Paparella holds both Argentinian and Italian passports.

   #10. Juan Martin Cardenas (91, currently plays in Chile) is a teammate of previously mentioned Nicolas Ferreyra. But that was another game of his team in Chilean Liga Nacional which we would like to mention. Cardenas helped Deportivo Valdivia win their game against the third-ranked Los Leones 82-67. He scored only 3 points and added 3 assists. Cardenas has averaged so far 2.3ppg and 1.4apg.

ROBERTO ACUNA Gimnasia y Esgrima Comodoro Rivadavia (La Liga) tabbed 28-year old international center Roberto Acuna (208-90). He has played for the last two years at Quimsa. San Martin de Curuzu Cuatia (TFB) confirmed in their roster 29-year old guard Franco Aguirre (190-90). He has played there for two seasons. In the last one, he played for AMAD de Goya. He averaged 6.2 points, 1.6 assists and 0.8 rebounds. Aguirre is a very experienced player. He also played for Olimpia de Paranabefore moving to San Martin for the first time.
