There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in La Liga. There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Buenos Aires. First ranked San Lorenzo faced their biggest opponent Obras Basket. Guests from Almagra (29-5) defeated host Obras Basket (22-14) 86-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Obras Basket. San Lorenzo made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Strangely Obras Basket outrebounded San Lorenzo 44-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. American-Jordanian Dar Tucker (193-88, college: DePaul) fired 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Nicolas Aguirre (188-88) chipped in 9 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. American power forward Eric Anderson (204-93, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) produced 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Obras Basket's coach Gregorio Martinez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains first position with 29-5 record. Obras Basket at the other side keeps the second place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Ferro and Gimnasia. San Lorenzo are looking forward to face Bahia Basket (#14) in Bahia Blanca in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Obras Basket will have a break next round.
Bottom-ranked Atenas managed to get a eleventh victory. This time they won against seventeenth-ranked Quilmes MP in Cordoba 89-71. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 18-point difference proves that Atenas was well-prepared to that game. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman JJ Moore (198-91, college: Rutgers) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 rebounds. Nicolas Romano contributed with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Rick Jackson (206-89, college: Syracuse) replied with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for Quilmes MP. Quilmes MP's coach Javier Bianchelli tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Atenas (11-24) moved-up to eighteenth place, which they share with Libertad S. and Quilmes MP. Quilmes MP lost third consecutive game. Atenas will play against Libertad Sunchales (#19) on the road in the next round. Quilmes MP will play against La Union and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Mercedes was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Instituto (21-12) played at the court of seventh ranked Comunicaciones (21-15). Comunicaciones defeated Instituto 79-64 on Wednesday. Kyle Davis scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners. At the losing side Santiago Scala responded with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Comunicaciones will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Instituto will play against Estudiantes C. (#9) in Concordia and hope to secure a win.
A very interesting game took place in Corrientes. It ended with only two-point home defeat of higher ranked San Martin Corrientes (18-18) to sixteenth ranked Hispano Am. (13-22) 65-63 on Tuesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. Devon Scott notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort. San Martin Corrientes' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Hispano Am. moved-up to fifteenth place. San Martin Corrientes at the other side keeps the tenth position with 18 games lost. Hispano Am.'s next round opponent will be league's second-placed Gimnasia in Comodoro Rivadavia and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
Important game to mention about took place in La Banda. Eighth ranked Boca Juniors (19-16) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 12th ranked Olimpico de La Banda (17-20) 82-79 on Monday evening.
