Instituto dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Bahia Basket's 16. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American swingman Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) fired 19 points for the winners. International forward Facundo Pinero (200-88) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds.
