Instituto outrebounded Bahia Basket 36-23 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Instituto especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) who led the winners and scored 24 points. Point guard Gaston Whelan (188-94) accounted for 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Point guard Facundo Corvalan (190-98) came up with 18 points and 5 assists and American center Anthony-Laveal Johnson (203-88, college: Fairfield) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively for Bahia Basket in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
