The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

First defeat of league's leader Ameghino (3-1) against second ranked Barrio Parque (4-2) 97-80 was the most important game of the last round. It was a key game for the second position in Liga Argentina. Barrio Parque looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Ameghino helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for naturalized Italian Juan Kelly (190-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 assists. point guard Agustin Jure (183-91) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Power forward Juan-Luis Abeiro (195-88) replied with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for Ameghino. Ameghino's coach Pablo Castro rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Barrio Parque maintains second position in Liga Argentina with 4-2 record behind leader Independiente. Ameghino at the other side dropped to the fourth place with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Independiente.
Undefeated Dep Norte (4-1) recorded its first loss in Resistencia. Visitors were defeated by second ranked Villa S.Martin (3-2) 96-86. American Tirrell Brown (198-93, college: Ouachita Baptist) scored 21 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Jorge Banegas chipped in 17 points and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Jonatan Torresi (191-94) with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Despite that victory Villa S.Martin went down to fourth position (Liga Argentina) due to points difference. Dep Norte at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost.
An interesting game was also home defeat of 7th ranked Sp.America in a game in Rosario versus Olimpico (#6) 75-60. Jose Peralta notched 23 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by John-A Thomas did not help to save the game for Sp.America. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olimpico maintains sixth position in Liga Argentina with 2-5 record. Loser Sp.America keeps the seventh place with six games lost.
A very interesting game took place in Plaza Huincul. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of bottom-ranked Atenas (0-6) to fourth ranked Petrolero (3-3) 66-63 on Wednesday evening. The best player for the winners was Rodrigo Goncalves who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. Petrolero's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Petrolero moved-up to third place in Liga Argentina. Atenas at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost.
Very important is a road loss of first ranked Independiente (5-4) against fifth ranked San Isidro (4-2) on Tuesday night. Visiting Independiente was defeated by San Isidro in San Francisco 88-74. It was a good game for Sergio Rupil who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 4 steals. San Isidro moved-up to third place in Liga Argentina. Loser Independiente still keeps top position with four games lost.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 6:
In Liga Argentina C.Entrerriano beat Rocamora on the road 80-74. Parque Sur won against Ciclista on its own court 80-65. Estudiantes O. managed to outperform GELP in Olavarria 79-65. C.Entrerriano managed to beat GELP at home 86-74. Union SF defeated Echague on the opponent's court 84-71. Tiro Federal beat Independiente in a home game 81-71. Tiro Federal lost to Salta Basket on the road 65-77. Petrolero managed to outperform Del Progreso on its own court 89-78. C.Espanol P. recorded a loss to Dep Viedma in Rio Negro 89-82. Quilmes MP defeated Villa Mitre at home 63-59.
The most impressive performance of 6th round was 23 points and 5 assists by Gaston Marozzi of Union SF.



Group CENTRO
Rocamora - C.Entrerriano 74-80

No shocking result in a game when C.Entrerriano (4-2) beat on the road one of their biggest challengers Rocamora (3-4) 80-74 on Sunday. C.Entrerriano made 27-of-30 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Rocamora was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for power forward Sebastian Bernasconi (203-86) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Tomas Luduena (178-96) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. American forward David Jelks (203, college: Kentucky St.) replied with 14 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward RJ Freeman (205-95, college: Pikeville) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Rocamora. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Despite that victory C.Entrerriano went down to third position (Liga Argentina) due to points difference. Very expected game when 5th ranked Ciclista (1-4) lost to first ranked Parque Sur (5-1) in Concepcion de Urug. 65-80 on Monday. Parque Sur outrebounded Ciclista 44-31 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Brazilian forward Rodrigo Goncalves (203-87) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. Valentin Garello chipped in 6 points and 5 rebounds.
