La Liga Argentina round 9 most important game was a victory of Barrio Parque over 4th placed Ameghino 116-86 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in Liga Argentina. Barrio Parque shot the lights out from three sinking 22 long-distance shots on high 52.4 percentage. It was a good game for naturalized Italian Juan Kelly (190-88) who led his team to a victory with 27 points. Swingman Lautaro Rivata (191-87) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Swingman Matias Martinez (195-94) answered with 27 points for Ameghino. A very close game took place in Santiago del Estero between Independiente and Salta Basket. Fourth ranked Independiente (6-4) got a very close home victory over 5th ranked Salta Basket (3-5). Independiente managed to escape with a 2-point win 60-58 in the fight for the fourth place. Jeronimo Solorzano nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Santiago Gonzalez came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for Salta Basket in the defeat. Salta Basket's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Independiente maintains fourth place in Liga Argentina with 6-4 record. Loser Salta Basket keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Independiente will again meet Salta Basket (#5) on the road in the next round. Salta Basket will have a break next round.

An interesting game for Quilmes MP (5-4) which played road game in Bahia Blanca against their close opponent Villa Mitre (4-3). Third ranked Quilmes MP managed to get a 4-point victory 72-68. It was a good game for Jeffrey Merchant who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Quilmes MP maintains third place in Liga Argentina with 5-4 record behind leader Estudiantes O. Newly promoted Villa Mitre dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Quilmes MP will face league's leader Dep Viedma in Rio Negro in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Echague recorded a loss to Dep Norte at home 79-91. Tiro Federal was defeated by Ameghino on the opponent's court 88-70. Tiro Federal beat Rivadavia in a home game 70-66. Del Progreso lost to Dep Viedma on the road 83-87. Atenas unfortunately lost to Del Progreso on its own court 70-75.
The most impressive performance of 9th round was 24 points and 6 rebounds by Bruno Oprandi of ECHAGUE.

Estudiantes O. - Rocamora 82-71

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Estudiantes O. (6-1) beat 6th ranked Rocamora (3-7) in Olavarria 82-71 on Friday.
