It was a great evening for Venezuelan forward Luis Bethelmy (200-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 10 points and 9 rebounds. point guard Manuel Buendia (177-95) helped adding 17 points. The best player for the winners was Drew Martin who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Patricio Tabarez produced 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Bahia Basket moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Olimpico LB. Penarol at the other side dropped to the seventeenth position with eight games lost. Bahia Basket will meet at home league's leader Gimnasia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
