   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Gabriel Deck (198-95, currently plays in Euroleague). He led his Spanish team Real Madrid to a victory over the 14th-ranked Maccabi T-A (3-7) 79-63 in the Euroleague in Wednesday night's game. Deck was MVP of the game. He scored 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 24 minutes on the court. Real Madrid (6-4) is placed fifth in the Euroleague. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Deck averages: 4.6ppg, 3.1rpg, 2FGP: 53.8% and FT: 75.0% in eight games he played so far. He played for the Argentinian senior national team one years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international guard Luca Vildoza (191-95, currently plays in Spain). Vildoza was the main contributor in Baskonia's victory against the tenth-ranked Blusens Monbus (5-6) 80-74 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday. He was the best player in that game. Vildoza scored 19 points, made 5 passes and 3 steals. TD Systems Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz (8-3) is placed fifth in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Vildoza's fourth season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year: 13.1ppg, 1.3rpg, 3.9apg, 1.8spg, 2FGP: 51.9% and FT: 83.3%. Vildoza played for the Argentinian national team in 2019.

   #3. The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced former international small forward Carlos Delfino (198-82, currently plays in Italy). He contributed to an easy victory against the second-ranked Reggio Emilia (3-3) crushing them 84-63 in the Italian Serie A on Sunday night. Delfino was the top player that evening. He scored 19 points, had 8 boards, passed 4 assists and added 3 steals in 35 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group D. Carpegna Prosciutto Basket Pesaro (2-1) is placed second. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Delfino has relatively solid stats: 14.0ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.7apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 44.4%, 3FGP: 41.2% and FT: 76.9% in six games. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian. Delfino played for the Argentinian national team four years ago.

It's Scola's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Scola averages: 22.9ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.4apg and 1.3spg in nine games. He is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Spanish. Scola used to play for the Argentinian national team last year.

   #6. Point guard Stefano Pierotti (185-98, currently plays in Brazil) could not help Campo Mourao (1-4) in their last game. Despite Pierotti's very good performance Campo Mourao lost 78-82 on the road to the higher-ranked (#9) Pato Basquete. He was the second best scorer with 22 points. Pierotti also added 5 passes in 34 minutes. It was Campo Mourao's third consecutive loss in a row. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. U19 international swingman Leandro Bolmaro (198-0, currently plays in Euroleague) managed to help FC Barcelona Lassa to win against the 13th-ranked Crvena Zvezda (4-6) 76-65 in the Euroleague in Friday night's game. Bolmaro recorded only 4 points. FC Barcelona Lassa (8-1) is placed first in the Euroleague. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. This season Bolmaro averages just 2.2ppg. He used to play for the Argentinian U19 national team last year.

Former international center Daniel Amigo (208-95, college: Denver, currently plays in Lithuania) contributed to a 3-point P.Zvaigzdes' victory against the closely-ranked Prienai CBet 99-96 in the Lithuanian LKL on Saturday night. He recorded 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 23 minutes. Amigo has averaged so far 7.4ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.2apg in nine games. He is a naturalized American. Amigo used to play for the Argentinian national team three years ago. Strangely he has never played in Argentina.

   #12. Former international power forward Leonardo Mainoldi (205-85, currently plays in Uruguay) contributed to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked Hebraica 81-66 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB in Wednesday night's game. Mainoldi recorded 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He has averaged so far 6.3ppg and 4.7rpg. Mainoldi used to play for the Argentinian national team back in 2018.

   #13. International point guard Lucas Faggiano (188-89, college: LIU Brooklyn, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Gipuzkoa (1-9) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance the bottom-ranked Gipuzkoa was crushed 104-69 in Malaga by the much higher-ranked Unicaja (#7). Faggiano scored 11 points, made 4 passes and 3 steals. Faggiano has averaged so far 6.4ppg, 2.1rpg, 3.4apg and 1.4spg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team last year.

   #14. International forward Nicolas Brussino (202-93, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Zaragoza in their game against FC Barcelona in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Brussino cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 17 minutes. His team lost 85-97. Brussino has averaged so far 8.4ppg, 4.4rpg, 3.2apg and 1.2spg in 11 games. He used to play for the Argentinian national team last year.

   #15. Former international point guard Nicolas Richotti (183-86, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Palencia in their game against Burgos in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). Despite his very good performance last Friday Richotti was the top scorer with 22 points. He also added 5 rebounds. This season Richotti has very high stats. He averages: 15.6ppg, 4.0rpg and 2.2apg. Richotti used to play for the Argentinian national team four years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Argentinian passport but never been selected to any of Argentinian national teams:

   #1. Federico Mariani (190-G/F-92, currently plays in Uruguay) could not help Trouville (2-3) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance the fourth-placed Trouville (2-3) was defeated 81-68 in a derby game by the lower-ranked Hebraica (#5) in the Places 1-6 group. Mariani was the top scorer with 24 points. He also added 4 assists. Mariani has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 19.8ppg, 5.4rpg, 4.2apg and 1.2spg.

   #2. Experienced Ariel Filloy (190-PG-87, currently plays in Italy) led Pesaro to an easy victory against the second-ranked Reggio Emilia (3-3) crushing them 84-63 in the Italian Serie A last Sunday. Filloy scored 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group D. Carpegna Prosciutto Basket Pesaro (2-1) is placed second. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Filloy's overall stats this season are: 7.5ppg, 2.9rpg and 2.6apg. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

   #3. Damian Tintorelli (205-C-81, currently plays in Uruguay) is a teammate of previously mentioned Federico Mariani and both played together in the last Uruguayan LUB game. Tintorelli was not able to help Trouville (2-3) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the fourth-placed Trouville (2-3) lost 68-81 in a derby game to the lower-ranked (#5) Hebraica in the Places 1-6 group. Tintorelli was the second best scorer with 17 points. He also added 6 rebounds in 32 minutes. Tintorelli's stats this year are: 13.8ppg, 9.0rpg, 2.8apg and 1.2spg in five games he played so far. He is another player who holds two passports: Italian and Argentinian.

   #4. Andres Forray (187-PG-86, currently plays in EuroCup) was not able to secure a victory for Trento (6-2) in their game against JSF Nanterre (3-4) in the Eurocup. Forray scored 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The second-placed Trento (6-2) was edged 104-102 at home by the lower-ranked JSF Nanterre (#4) in the group D of Eurocup. There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Forray has been at the team for ten years. He has averaged so far 5.9ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.9apg. Similarly like Tintorelli and Filloy above Forray has both Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #5. Nicolas Ferreyra (181-PG-85, currently plays in Brazil) led Caxias do Sul to a victory over the closely-ranked Brasilia (1-3) 84-69 in the Brazilian NBB last Wednesday. He was the top player that evening. Ferreyra scored 16 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 31 minutes. Caxias do Sul BasqueteTriches (1-2) is placed tenth in the NBB. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Ferreyra has averaged so far 9.0ppg, 2.7rpg and 3.7apg in three games.

   #6. Mario Jose Ghersetti (201-PF-81, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Mantova (5-2) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the fourth-placed Mantova was badly defeated 99-81 on their home court in Mirandola by the lower-ranked (#5) Udine in the Group A. Ghersetti scored 15 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 29 minutes. It was his first game for Mantova this season. Ghersetti also holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #7. Bruno Pallotti (182-PG-98, currently plays in Spain) was the main contributor in Xiria's victory against the seventh-ranked Betanzos 78-73 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) last Saturday. He was the top player that evening. Pallotti scored 21 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 9 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). This season Pallotti has very high stats. He averages: 20.3ppg, 4.3rpg and 4.3apg.

   #8. Joaquin Shuchman (191-SG-95, currently plays in Israel) couldn't help Hapoel Tel-Aviv in their game against Hapoel Jerusalem in the Israeli Winner League. Shuchman cannot count Monday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 23 minutes. His team lost 76-88. Shuchman has averaged so far 2.3ppg and 2.8rpg in four games. He has Argentinian and Israeli nationalities.

   #9. Pedro Rubbera (191-SG-81, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Benidorm (4-1) in their last game. Despite Rubbera's very good performance the first-placed Benidorm lost 55-66 on the road to the lower-ranked (#3) Alginet in the Group E-B. He was the top scorer with 16 points in 30 minutes. Rubbera has averaged so far 10.0ppg, 2.4rpg, 1.2apg and 1.4spg in five games. He holds both Argentinian and Italian passports.

   #10. Agustin Fabi (199-F/G-91, currently plays in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked Trapani crushing them 85-57 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) last Sunday. Fabi was the top player that evening. He scored 18 points. It was his first game for Tortona this season. Fabi holds both Argentinian and Italian passports.
