Wilkerson comes back to Atenas, ex Danubio

Atenas de Patagones (La Liga Argentina) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 36-year old American power forward Howard Wilkerson (199-113kg-84, college: Wofford). It is actually his comeback to Atenas as he has played here before. Wilkerson played last summer at Danubio in Uruguayan Metropolitan. In 12 games he was league's fifth best scorer with impressive 18.2ppg and had 8.0rpg, 3.2apg and 1.1spg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Uruguay Metropolitan League Honorable Mention. The last season Wilkerson played at Centro Espanol de Plottier in Argentinian La Liga Argentina where in 30 games he recorded very remarkable stats: 16.1ppg, 6.8rpg and 2.6apg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. Great season indeed as he was selected Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian La Liga Argentina Import player of the Year and voted to 1st Team and voted to All-Imports Team.
He is quite experienced player. Wilkerson has played also professionally in Chile (Espanol de Talca and Liceo Mixto), France, Germany, Argentina (Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata, Obera, Huracan and Sarmiento de Formosa), Uruguay (Union Atletica Montevideo, Yale, Capitol and Pacaembu) and Bolivia (La Salle Tarija).
Wilkerson won Chilean DIMAYOR championship title in 2012.
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Atenas.
Wilkerson attended Wofford College until 2006 and it will be his 15th (!!!) season as a professional player.
