Gimnasia y Esgrima Comodoro Rivadavia (La Liga) agreed terms with 18-year old American (has also Puerto Rican passport) forward Phillip Wheeler (204-4). He played last summer at Atleticos de San German in Puerto Rican BSN league. In 14 games he had 8.8ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.0apg. A very impressive season as he was named to Latinbasket.com Puerto Rican BSN All-Rookie Team. Wheeler ended the last season at SAzzurra (ANGT) in Italian league. But the most of that year he spent at Stellazzurra in Italy where in four Adidas Next Generation Tournament games he recorded 8.3ppg, 3.3rpg, 1.3spg and 1.0bpg.
He was a member of Puerto Rican U17 National Team in 2018.
Wheeler has played also professionally in. Wheeler played in the final of Adidas Next Generation Tournament in Munich.
