Argentinian La Liga Argentina round 18 best performance: Roquez Johnson (by Hoops Agents)

American Center Roquez Johnson (201-C-92) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Ciclista, receiving a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 29 points and 16 rebounds, while his team outclassed Rivadavia (4-7) with 36-point margin 98-62. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings in Conferencia Sur. Ciclista is placed at 11th position in Argentinian La Liga Argentina. Ciclista is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-7 record. Johnson just recently signed at Ciclista, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Mississippi State University star has very solid stats this year. Johnson is league's best scorer averaging so far 25.1ppg and leads league in rebounds with 14.6rpg. Johnson is in league's top in and averages impressive 65.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 29-year old Emiliano Correa (188-G-91) of Tiro Federal. Correa had a very good evening with a triple-double of 27 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. Of course Tiro Federal cruised to a 87-80 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Colon SF (#12, 4-10). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in Conferencia Norte. Tiro Federal keeps 11th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-7 record. Correa is a newcomer at Tiro Federal, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Justin Everett (206-F-96) of LANUS (#9). Everett scored 20 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Lanus, leading his team to a 70-64 win against the higher-ranked Quilmes MP (#3, 7-7). Everett has a very solid season. In 3 games in Argentina he scored 20.7ppg.
