Julian Morales (195-G/F-95) had a great game in the last round for Racing and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 34.
The 25-year old swingman had a double-double of 19 points and seventeen rebounds, while his team beat Villa Mitre (#5, 9-5) 74-68. Racing maintains the 9th position in their group in Argentinian La Liga Argentina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Racing will need more victories to improve their 7-5 record. In the team's last game Morales had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Racing's top player in his first season with the team. Morales has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.2ppg), rebounds (5th best: 8.8rpg) and averages solid 52.9% FGP and 47.9% from behind 3-point line.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old power forward Estefano Simondi (201-F/C-96) of Rivadavia. Simondi impressed basketball fans with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Bad luck as Rivadavia lost that game 73-85 to the higher-ranked Del Progreso (#4, 10-8). Rivadavia managed to keep the same 14th spot in Conferencia Sur. 14 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Rivadavia managed to get this year. Simondi is one of the most experienced players at Rivadavia and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was Joaquin Giarraffa of ATENAS (#11). Giarraffa showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Atenas, leading his team to a 81-80 win against the higher-ranked GELP (#6, 9-6). The chances of Atenas not to end season at such low position in Conferencia Sur, however are less than slim as they have already lost 11 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Giarraffa could try to bring Atenas' a little bit higher in the standings. Giarraffa has a very solid season. In 2 games in Argentina he scored 15.0ppg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
