The Regular Season in La Liga Argentina is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 5 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Top ranked Dep Viedma (17-6) recorded its sixth loss on the court of twelfth ranked Rocamora on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Rocamora 91-87. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dep Viedma. 25 personal fouls committed by Dep Viedma helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Horacio Rigada who scored 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Juan Cognigni chipped in 17 points and 7 assists. Naturalized Brazilian swingman Ayan Carvalho (196-97, college: Temple) produced 25 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Rocamora maintains twelfth place with 9-13 record. Dep Viedma at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. Rocamora are looking forward to face higher ranked Progreso (#6) in General Roca in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dep Viedma will have a break next round.
Important game to mention about took place in Carmen de Patagones. Tenth ranked Atenas (10-12) saved a 1-point victory at home edging second-ranked Estudiantes C. (15-9) 72-71 on Thursday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Naturalized Italian swingman Gianni Dubois (193-98) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Martin Percaz contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Chilean guard Cristopher Jara (-0) answered with 23 points for Estudiantes C.Atenas moved-up to ninth place. Estudiantes C. at the other side keeps the second position with nine games lost. Atenas will play against Parque Sur (#13) in Concepcion de Urug. in the next round. Estudiantes C. will play on the road against Villa Mitre (#3) in Bahia Blanca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

However their fans expected easier game. Juan Luis Abeiro stepped up and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Ameghino's coach Pablo Castro used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Omar Canton responded with 31 points and 7 rebounds. Ameghino moved-up to fifth place. Loser Sp.America keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Other games of round 41 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Rivadavia was defeated by Ciclista in Juninense 78-72. Quilmes MP beat GELP at home 66-62. Estudiantes O. destroyed Racing on the opponent's court 90-61. Parque Sur was outscored by Villa Mitre in a home game 69-97. Estudiantes T. rolled over Tiro Federal on the road 93-55.

There was no surprise in Juninense where 14th ranked Rivadavia (4-19) was defeated by eighth ranked Ciclista (11-11) 78-72 on Thursday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Ciclista forced 21 Rivadavia turnovers. Leandro Cerminato (201-98) stepped up and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Ralfi Silva chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Ciclista's coach Daniel Jaule used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Fabricio Cosolito (199-93, agency: BIG) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and Valentin Costa (182-99, agency: BIG) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
