The game with biggest difference of round 44 was host Dep Norte's (13-12) easy victory at home over 5th ranked Ameghino (16-9) 108-79 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ameghino. Dep Norte looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Nahuel Paciotti (184-97) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists. Forward Lautaro Mare (196-98) chipped in 23 points. Power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (200-88) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dep Norte have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Del Progreso. Ameghino at the other side dropped to the second position with nine games lost. They share it with Estudiantes C.. Dep Norte will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ameghino will play at home against San Isidro and is hoping to win this game.

Lucas Gonzalez (199-94) orchestrated the victory by scoring 6 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Matias Eidintas contributed with 18 points for the winners. Paraguayan center Carlos Baez (202-92) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds for Progreso. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Dep Viedma maintains first position with 19-6 record. Progreso at the other side dropped to the sixth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Dep Norte. Dep Viedma will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Progreso will play on the road against Racing (#11) in Chivilcoy and hopes to get back on the winning track.

San Isidro moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Rocamora. Loser Villa S.Martin keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. San Isidro will meet higher ranked Ameghino (#5) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Villa S.Martin will have a break next round.

GELP was defeated by Lanus in Buenos Aires 84-80. Atenas beat Racing at home 82-72. Ciclista won against Estudiantes O. on the opponent's court 85-74.

We should mention about the upset which took place in San Francisco, where higher ranked Villa S.Martin (17-10) lost to fourteenth ranked San Isidro (9-14) in a road game 71-82 on Tuesday. San Isidro dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Villa S.Martin's 34. Lanus' coach Leonardo Costa allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Pablo Alderete (198-93) responded with 16 points and 5 assists and Yago Sanchez (195-99) scored 19 points. Four Lanus and five GELP players scored in double figures. Lanus moved-up to fifth place. Loser GELP dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. Lanus will meet at home Estudiantes O. (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. GELP will play against Estudiantes O. in Olavarria and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Worth to mention a great performance of Joaquin Giarraffa who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Genaro Lorio (192-97) who added 21 points during the contest. Power forward Hector Martirena (198-82) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and guard Franco Montemagio (185-2) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five Atenas and four Racing players scored in double figures. Racing's coach Diego Dambrosio rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Atenas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ciclista. Racing lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 12 games lost.
