Gimnasia adds Elliott to their roster, ex Urunday

Gimnasia y Esgrima Comodoro Rivadavia (La Liga) added to their roster experienced 37-year old American guard Marcus Elliott (196cm-84, college: Louisiana Tech) for new 2021-22 season. Elliott played last season at Urunday in Uruguayan LUB league. In 15 games he recorded very impressive stats: 19.1ppg, 4.6rpg and 4.3apg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Uruguayan LUB 2nd Team.
Elliott ended the previous (2019-20) season at Hebraica (also in LUB) where in 5 games he averaged 11.8ppg, 4.6rpg and 2.8apg. But the most of that year he spent at Singapore Slingers in Singapore league. In 17 ASEAN League games he had also remarkable stats: 20.1ppg, 8.7rpg, 4.2apg and 1.2spg.
He is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in six different countries. Elliott tasted the life as pro basketball player in Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Chile (Liceo Mixto), Hong Kong (Hong Kong Eastern Long Lions), Mexico (Huracanes and Garra Canera de Navolato), Venezuela (Guaiqueries and Toros) and Argentina (San Lorenzo).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won ASEAN League championship title in 2017. Elliott was selected Asia-Basket.com All-ASEAN League Player of the Year and Asia-Basket.com All-ASEAN League Import Player of the Year back in 2017.
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Gimnasia.
He attended Louisiana Tech University until 2007 and it will be his 15th (!!!) season as a professional player.
