La Liga Argentina Round 22: Bahia lose to Zarate Basket in the game between Top 4 teams

The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 3 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game between Top Four teams took place in Bahia Blanca. 4th ranked host Bahia (5-13) lost to first ranked Zarate Basket (15-3) 88-75. Ignacio Cuassolo (200-99) scored 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Lucas Andujar (185-96) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Brazilian center Gabriel Novaes (208-1) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zarate Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Zarate Basket maintains first position with 15-3 record. Bahia at the other side dropped to the third place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Rivadavia. Zarate Basket are looking forward to face league's second-placed Villa Mitre in Bahia Blanca in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bahia will have a break next round.

Independ.O. have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Independ.O. maintains first position with 16-2 record. Ameghino lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the second place with nine games lost. They share the position with Villa Mitre. Independ.O. will play against Dep Norte (#4) in Armstrong in the next round. Ameghino will play at home against the league's second-placed Barrio Parque and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Dep Norte will play against the league's leader Independ.O. and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 22: Pergamino lost to Ciclista on the opponent's court 68-73. Independiente unfortunately lost to Salta Basket in a home game 80-97. GELP managed to beat Racing on the road 88-83.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 26 points and 4 assists by Erbel De Pietro of Racing.

Bahia - Zarate Basket 75-88

Four Pergamino players scored in double figures. Ciclista moved-up to second place, which they share with Estudiantes O. and Del Progreso. Pergamino lost tenth consecutive game. Agustin Carnovale (192-86) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Daniel Tabbia (195-93) produced 19 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and Bruno Ingratta (202-85) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Salta Basket and four Independiente players scored in double figures. Salta Basket have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-8 record, which they share with GELP. Independiente lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third place with eight games lost. Salta Basket will meet league's second-placed Villa S.Martin in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Independiente will play against the league's leader CAO Ceres and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
