When you review the numbers of these first 18 games of the 2021-22 season, one of the most important items is rebounds. There are figures who with their contribution in this aspect not only help their teams with the defensive theme, but also give a contribution when offering with the offense a second or even third chance.
Let us review some of the exponents in this field:

1- Joaquin Gamazo (198-PF-91): A sure vote for the candidates for the League MVP award. His contribution in rebounds is key averaging 12.9 per game, 9.5 in the defensive zone and additional 3.4 in the offense ( leader on the 3 fronts). But to that must be added his average points with 15.5 per night. He is one of the referents of Racing de Chivilcoy. His game has found in Racing to be the reference and its combination with Carlos Baez and Rodrigo Acuna make the options in the painted area limited for rivals.

2- Yasmany Fundora (201-F-92): The Cuban reinforcement of Salta Basket is the player in charge of carrying the defensive weight of the group, having freedom in the offensive zone, but running on his own the protection of the rebounds. His averages are in total rebounds at 11.2 average per game ( 2nd league) while in defensive he is also second in the league with 8.9. In the offensives, 2.3. For Salta his contribution has needed to be increased and currently averages 13.7 having to assume on occasions with Nicolas Zurschmitten the points of the team.

3- Franco Barroso (207-C-94): If it is to assess the impact of his arrival to the team would be one of the most outstanding in this 2021-22. His contribution in Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata is key both in defense and in leadership. His rebound performance ranges from 10.1 in total per game, with 7.9 in the defensive zone and 2.2 in the offensive. He averages 10.9 points in average per game, but it is the defensive weight where his contribution is valued more, considering that he is as a leader of the league in blocks with an average of 1.4 per night.

4- Gabriel Novaes (208-C-01) One of the pieces of the young group of Weber Bahia Basket U22 team. This averaging 9.6 rebounds per game and in the rebounds of the defensive area is leaving records of 6.6, being key that in offensive rebounds captures an average of 2.9. It is one of the bastions of the group with his contribution in offensive averaging 15.3 points per game in all the 18 games that his team has played.

5- Andres Landoni (203-PF-90)i: Another player who in offensive and defensive balance must take votes for the North Conference MVP award. Landoni is averaging 9.5 rebounds , being 7.3 defensive. In addition, Landoni is scoring 16.8 on average and generating 1.2 assists per game in a Barrio Parque de Cordoba team that closely follows the fight with Independiente de Oliva.

You can not leave aside the contribution in rebounds of other players like Martin Bonja , Lisandro Carabalo, Matias Aristu and Guillermo Romero. They have played 18 games of the season and we will see that they can come for the stage 2022 of the Argentine League.
