Lucas Nunez
Lucas Nunez (200-PF-97) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Comunicaciones and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 24-year old power forward had a double-double of 29 points and twelve rebounds, while his team crushed Instituto (#5, 16-8) with 16-point margin 99-83. It allowed Comunicaciones to consolidate first place in the Argentinian LDD. Comunicaciones has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 20-2. In the team's last game Nunez had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Nunez has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (6th best: 1.3apg) and averages solid 61.5% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 19-year old point guard Juan Frontera (178-PG-02) of Instituto. Frontera impressed basketball fans with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Instituto lost that game 83-99 to the higher-ranked Comunicaciones (#1, 20-2). This loss caused Instituto to drop to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 16-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Frontera is a newcomer at Instituto and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.8ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 6.4rpg and 5.0apg.
The third best performed player last round was Franco Ferraria (191-G-02) of Gimnasia (#18). Ferraria scored 25 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Ferraria's great performance Gimnasia lost 71-72 to the higher-ranked Ferro (#9, 12-12). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Gimnasia can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 4-19 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Ferraria has a very solid season. In 22 games in Argentina he scored 14.0ppg. He also has 8.7rpg and FGP: 51.1%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
