Cristian Scaramuzzino
Cristian Scaramuzzino (205-C-1992) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Estudiantes O. and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 59.
The 29-year old center had the game-high 19 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for Estudiantes O. in his team's victory, helping them to beat Pergamino (#5, 13-8) 75-68. It allowed Estudiantes O. to consolidate first place in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Estudiantes O. has a very solid 16-6 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Scaramuzzino had a remarkable 81.8% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Estudiantes O., through which he has constantly improved. Cristian Scaramuzzino averages this season 11.0ppg and 6.3rpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young point guard Gonzalo Alonso (178-PG-2002) of Salta Basket. Alonso impressed basketball fans with 21 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course he led Salta Basket to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Independiente (#10, 10-13) 97-67. Despite this victory Salta Basket slide down in the standings to 7th position in Conference Norte. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 13-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Alonso is one of the most experienced players at Salta Basket and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was another Estudiantes O.'s star - Jeffrey Merchant (197-PF-1997). Merchant scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was another key player of Estudiantes O., helping his team with a 75-68 win against the lower-ranked Pergamino (#5, 13-8). Estudiantes O. confirms their top position in Conferencia Sur. Their record at this point is 16 victories and 6 lost games. Merchant has a very solid season. In 33 games in Argentina he scored 13.5ppg.

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
