   #1. This week's number one is former international point guard Nicolas Laprovittola (190-1990, currently plays in Spain). He led Barca to a victory over the seventh-ranked Manresa (20-14) 94-80 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Saturday night's game. Laprovittola was MVP of the game. He scored 20 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) in a mere 18 minutes on the court. FC Barcelona Lassa (3-0) is placed first in the Liga Endesa. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This year Laprovittola averages: 9.5ppg, 1.6rpg, 2.6apg, 2FGP: 57.5%(46-80), 3FGP: 38.7% and FT: 93.2%(41-44) in 34 games he played so far. He played for the Argentinian senior national team year ago.

The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international small forward Juan Pablo Vaulet (198-1996, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Spain) faced previously mentioned Nicolas Laprovittola in the Spanish Liga Endesa last game. Vaulet. He was not able to help Manresa in their game against Barca (27-7). Despite his good performance in Saturday night's game Vaulet was the second best scorer with 11 points. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important. Vaulet's total stats this season are: 6.1ppg, 2.8rpg, 2FGP: 65.2%(43-66), 3FGP: 26.3% and FT: 83.3%. Vildoza scored 10 points and added 5 passes in 20 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams. KK Cibona VIP Zagreb (26-7) is placed first in Places 1-6 group. This year Vildoza's total stats are: 7.7ppg, 2.0rpg, 3.5apg and 1.1spg in 25 games. He is a former international player as he played for the Argentinian senior team year ago.

   #7. Former international forward Franco Giorgetti (203-1992, currently plays in Uruguay) was not able to secure a victory for Goes (18-10) in their game against Aguada (3-0) in the Uruguayan LUB. Despite his very good performance on Friday night He was the second best scorer with 20 points. Giorgetti also added 9 rebounds and dished 6 assists. This season Giorgetti has relatively solid stats: 13.7ppg, 8.0rpg, 2.2apg, 1.5bpg and 1.8spg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team years ago.

Forward Lucas Diaz (198-1992, currently plays in Chile) couldn't help Osorno (0-3) in their game against Liceo PN (3-0) in the Chilean LNB 2 (second division), despite his very good performance in Sunday night's game. Diaz was the top scorer with 16 points. He also added 5 rebounds, 5 assists and made 2 blocks in 40 minutes. But Osorno was badly defeated 87-68 at home by the leading Liceo PN. So far Osorno lost all three games in the Regular Season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Diaz has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.5ppg, 5.5rpg and 3.5apg in two games. Diaz used to play for the Argentinian U19 national team back in 11.

An experienced former international point guard Lucas Faggiano (188-1989, college: LIU Brooklyn, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Estudiantes (25-9) in their game against Girona (1-2) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). Despite his good performance last Friday He was the second best scorer with 10 points. Faggiano also added 9 rebounds. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. Faggiano has averaged so far 8.0ppg, 2.3rpg, 3.0apg and 1.2spg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team years ago.

   #10. Guard Santiago Scala (187-1991, currently plays in Brazil) couldn't help Vivo/Franca (29-3) in their game against Sao Paulo (23-9) in the Brazilian NBB.    #11. Former international point guard Lucio Redivo (183-1994, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Brindisi in their game against Tortona in the Italian Serie A. Redivo scored 8 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists. His team was badly defeated by 17 points 99-82. Redivo has averaged so far 9.0ppg, 1.7rpg and 1.6apg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team years ago.

   #12. Former international point guard Franco Balbi (188-1989, currently plays in Brazil) managed to help Clube de Regatas do Flamengo to win against the closely-ranked Minas 76-67 in the Brazilian NBB on Thursday night. Balbi recorded only 4 points and added 4 assists. Balbi has averaged so far 7.5ppg, 3.1rpg, 4.7apg and 1.1spg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team back in 18.

   #13. Former international small forward Carlos Delfino (198-1982, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Pesaro in their game against Virtus BO in the Italian Serie A. He cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. Delfino recorded only 3 points, 4 assists and 3 steals in 30 minutes. His team lost 76-82. Delfino has reliable stats this year: 11.6ppg, 4.3rpg, 3.0apg and 1.7spg in 30 games. He used to play for the Argentinian national team years ago.

   #14. Former international guard Juan Ignacio Marcos (188-2000, currently plays in Spain) contributed to Lleida's victory against one of league's weakest teams Palma 89-82 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) last Friday. Marcos scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Marcos has averaged so far 9.4ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.6apg and 1.3spg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team back in 18.

   #15. Former international guard Luca Vildoza (191-1995, another player represented by Octagon Europe, currently plays in NBA) couldn't help the Milwaukee Bucks in their game against the Boston Celtics in the NBA. Vildoza cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 2 points in 2 minutes on the court. His team were crushed by 28 points 109-81 in the NBA. This year Vildoza averages just 0.7ppg in seven games. He used to play for the Argentinian national team years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Argentinian passport but never been selected to any of Argentinian national teams:

   #1. Romeao Ferguson (196-G-1997, college: Lipscomb, currently plays in Chile) led Castro to a victory over the league leader Puerto Varas (9-1) 93-87 in the Chilean LNB last Monday. Ferguson was the best player in that game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 12 rebounds. Ferguson also added 6 assists and 3 steals; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Club Deportes Castrois placed in the LNB. Ferguson has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 18.5ppg, 7.8rpg, 3.5apg and 1.7spg. Ferguson is a naturalized American. Strangely he has never played in Argentina.

   #2. Experienced Ariel Filloy (190-PG-1987, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) was the major contributor in Tortona's victory against the league leader Brindisi 99-82 in the Italian Serie A last Sunday. He scored 17 points in 20 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Derthona Basket Tortona (4-0) is placed first in the Serie A. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Filloy has relatively good stats this year: 10.7ppg, 2.2rpg and 2.2apg in 28 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

   #3. Andres Forray (188-PG-1986, currently plays in Italy) could not help Trento in their last game on Sunday. Despite Forray's good performance his team was defeated 112-105 on the road by the second-ranked Cremona. He scored 14 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Forray's total stats this season are: 7.9ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.5apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #4. Nicholas Wadell (201-F-1989, currently plays in Chile) was the main contributor in a Puente Alto's victory against the closely-ranked Deportivo Valdivia (4-6) crushing them 93-60 in the Chilean LNB in Friday night's game. Wadell was the best player in that game. He scored 20 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Club Deportes Puente Altois placed second in the LNB. This season Wadell has very high stats. He averages: 17.5ppg, 7.3rpg and 2.1apg.

   #5. Martin Chervo (200-F-1992, currently plays in Chile) is a teammate of previously mentioned Nicholas Wadell. But that was another game of his team in Chilean LNB which we would like to mention. Chervo contributed to a Puente Alto's victory against the closely-ranked Deportivo Valdivia (4-6) 82-68. He was the best player in that game. Chervo recorded 18 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 26 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Club Deportes Puente Altois placed second in the LNB. Chervo has very impressive stats this year: 17.4ppg, 10.9rpg, 1.3apg and 1.2spg in 28 games.

   #6. Agustin Zuvich (201-F/C-1995, currently plays in Uruguay) helped Aguada edge the league leader Goes 96-94 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB last Friday. Zuvich scored 6 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 18 minutes. Zuvich has averaged so far 4.3ppg, 8.7rpg and 1.3apg in three games. He has both Argentinian and Uruguayan nationalities.

   #7. Pablo Bertone (193-SG-1990, also represented by Interperformances, college: FAU, currently plays in Iceland) was not able to help Valur (16-8) in their last game. Despite Bertone's good performance Valur was edged 97-95 in Sauoarkrokur by the lower-ranked (#4) Tindastoll. He had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 10 rebounds. Bertone also added 6 assists in 36 minutes. Bertone has reliable stats this year: 14.8ppg, 4.5rpg, 4.9apg and 1.3spg in 32 games. He also holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #8. Enzo Amado (183-PG-1995, currently plays in Chile) faced previously mentioned Martin Chervo in the Chilean LNB last game. Amado was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Deportivo Valdivia in their game against Puente Alto. He recorded 5 points. His team was defeated 82-68. Amado has averaged so far 9.6ppg, 2.1rpg and 2.4apg.

   #9. Nahuel Martinez (188-SG-1995, currently plays in Chile) is a teammate of previously mentioned Enzo Amado. He played also in the last Chilean LNB game facing Nicholas Wadell (above) in the other team. Martinez couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Deportivo Valdivia in their game against Puente Alto. He scored 5 points. His team was crushed by 33 points 93-60. Martinez has averaged so far 9.3ppg, 4.1rpg, 2.3apg and 1.3spg.

   #10. Albano Chiarastella (195-F-1985, agency: BIG, currently plays in Italy) helped Agrigento win their game against the eighth-ranked Imola 72-67 in the Italian Serie B (third division) last Sunday. He was the best player in that game. Chiarastella recorded 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in 33 minutes. Chiarastella's stats this year are: 12.8ppg, 9.9rpg, 3.1apg and 1.1spg in 28 games. He holds both Argentinian and Italian passports.
