Capponi's 22 points and 5 assists give him Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award

28-year old swingman Lorenzo Capponi (191-G/F-1994) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Zarate Basket and receives a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 4.
He had the game-high 22 points adding five rebounds and five assists for Zarate Basket in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Parque Sur (#13, 0-1) with 26-point margin 92-66. It allowed Zarate Basket to take over top position in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Zarate Basket won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Second best performed player last round was Conrado Echevarria (195-F/C-1998, agency: BIG) of Tucuman. He is a forward in his 3rd season at Tucuman. In the last game Echevarria recorded impressive 23 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Tucuman to another comfortable win outscoring Sarmiento R. (#15, 0-1) 101-71. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in North. But Tucuman managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 9th place. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 1-1 record is not bad and everything may still change. Echevarria is one of the most experienced players at Tucuman and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Marquel Wiggins (201-F-1998) of Sarmiento R. (#15). Wiggins got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. Despite Wiggins' great performance Sarmiento R. lost 71-101 to the higher-ranked Tucuman (#9, 1-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The season just started for Wiggins as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
