The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Ciclista (8-3) in Rio Gallegos on Friday night. Visitors were edged by eighth ranked H.Americano (5-4) 68-65. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Gonzalo Romero (196-1997) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 6 rebounds. The former international point guard Lucas Reyes (181-2000) contributed with 8 points and 5 assists for the winners. Swingman Manuel Lambrisca (192-1997) answered with 15 points and 7 rebounds for Ciclista. H.Americano have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Important game to mention about took place in Buenos Aires. First ranked Ciclista (8-3) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Lanus (5-5) 89-88 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lanus. Swingman Manuel Lambrisca (192-1997) stepped up and scored 28 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Juan Martin Bello chipped in 20 points. At the losing side American forward Phillip Bledsoe (198, college: GSC) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ciclista maintains first place with 8-3 record, which they share with Zarate Basket. Lanus at the other side keeps the seventh position with five games lost. Ciclista will play against league's second-placed Zarate Basket at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lanus will play against Quilmes MP (#4) in Mar del Plata and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Lanus will meet higher ranked Quilmes MP (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pilar will have a break next round.

Other games in round 13 were not that significant. Salta Basket was beaten by Dep Norte on the road 58-55. CAO Ceres won against Tucuman on its own court 92-79. Echague unfortunately lost to Sarmiento R. in Chaco 66-81. Villa S.Martin managed to beat Echague at home 67-61. Tucuman defeated Libertad on the opponent's court 76-69. Zarate Basket beat GELP in a home game 99-93. Racing won against Villa Mitre on the road 74-69. GELP managed to outperform Del Progreso on its own court 99-87. Del Progreso rolled over Quilmes MP in General Roca 85-52. La Union crushed Parque Sur at home 91-67.
The most impressive performance of 13th round was 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by Lucas Gallardo of Parque Sur.



Group North
Dep Norte - Salta Basket 58-55

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Dep Norte (5-4) edged 14th ranked Salta Basket (3-8) in Armstrong 58-55 on Saturday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Guard Jeremias Cardona (188-2002) nailed 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and forward Aquiles Montani (190-1994) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds. Dep Norte's coach Alejandro Cupulutti used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Nicolas Zurschmitten (183-1995) came up with 17 points and 4 assists and forward Juan Fernandez (195-1999, agency: BIG) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Salta Basket in the defeat. Dep Norte moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Salta Basket lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fifteenth position with eight games lost. There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Tucuman (4-7) lost on the road to thirteenth ranked CAO Ceres (4-7) 92-79 on Sunday. It was a great shooting night for CAO Ceres especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Tucuman's players. Point guard Manuel Alonso (195-1999, agency: BIG) nailed a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 12 assists for the winning side and point guard Facundo Gago (178-1996) accounted for 22 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals.
