23-year old point guard Manuel Alonso (195-PG-1999, agency: BIG) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for CAO Ceres and receives a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 13.
He got a double-double of 34 points and 12 assists, while his team beat Tucuman (4-7) 92-79. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings in North. CAO Ceres is placed at 10th position in Argentinian La Liga Argentina. CAO Ceres is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-7 record. In the team's last game Alonso had a remarkable 68.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be CAO Ceres' top player in his first season with the team. Alonso has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 21.9ppg. Alonso is in league's top in and averages solid 60.0% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Franco Barroso (207-C-1994) of GELP. He is a center in his first season at GELP. In the last game Barroso recorded impressive double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds. Of course GELP cruised to a 99-87 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Del Progreso (#12, 3-4). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in South. GELP dropped in the standings to 11th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-7 record. Barroso is a newcomer at GELP and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to swingman Manuel Lambrisca (192-G/F-1997) of league's leader Ciclista. Lambrisca scored 28 points and grabbed seven rebounds. He was a key player of Ciclista, leading his team to a 89-88 win against the lower-ranked Lanus (#7, 5-5). Ciclista confirms their top position in South. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
