Buchaillot's double-double lands him La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award

22-year old point guard Nahuel Buchaillot (178-PG-2000) had an amazing evening in the last round for Barrio Parque and receives a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 16.
He got a double-double of 27 points and 10 assists, while his team beat Colon SF (#5, 7-5) 104-97. Barrio Parque maintains the 3rd position in their group in Argentinian La Liga Argentina. Barrio Parque has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 10-1. In the team's last game Buchaillot had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. It's his second year at Barrio Parque and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Buchaillot has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (9th best: 4.9apg) and averages solid 67.7% FGP and 41.2% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Julian Ruiz (185-G-1998) of Del Progreso. He is a guard in his first season at Del Progreso. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in South. But Del Progreso managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 14th place. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-5 record. Ruiz is a newcomer at Del Progreso and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Edgardo Torne (198-F/C-1989, agency: BIG) of Pergamino (#16). Torne scored 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Despite Torne's great performance Pergamino lost 91-111 to slightly higher-ranked Del Progreso (#14, 4-5). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Pergamino not to end season at such low position in South, however are less than slim as they have already lost 8 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Torne could try to bring Pergamino's a little bit higher in the standings. Torne has a very solid season. In 4 games in Argentina he scored 12.3ppg.
