Boca shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 62.5 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The former international Leonel Schattmann (193-1987) notched 26 points and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the effort and the former international Marcos Mata (202-1986) supported him with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 14 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists by Bruno Sansimoni (194-1996) did not help to save the game for Penarol. Jose Defelippo (186-1997) added 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the guests. Four Boca and five Penarol players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.

Owens is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
