Jerry Evans joins Obera

Obera Tennis Club (La Liga) agreed terms with 32-year old American forward Jerry Evans (203cm-95kg-1990, college: Nevada) for new 2023-24 season. Evans played this summer at LA Cheaters (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. He managed to play in three leagues last year. The last season he played at CD Universidad de Concepcion in Chilean LNB where in 34 games he had very impressive stats: 16.9ppg, 8.1rpg and 1.8apg. Evans helped them to win the Supercup. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week. He also played 7 games in BCL Americas where he recorded also remarkable stats: 17.3ppg, 8.7rpg and 1.1spg.
Evans is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit five different continents, while he played in ten different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia and of course North America. Evans has played previously professionally in Australia (Cairns Taipans, Ballarat Miners and Sabres), Cyprus (Apoel and Enosis Neon Paralimni), Finland (Lahti), Greece (Lavrio), Israel (Galil Elion), Mexico (Lenadores), New Zealand (Giants), Poland, Qatar (Qatar Club) and Argentina (Quimsa).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won Chilean Liga Nacional championship title in 2022. He was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Nacional Player of the Year and Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Nacional Import Player of the Year in 2022.
Evans graduated from University of Nevada in 2014 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player.
