Argentinian La Liga Argentina round 9 best performance: Carlos Rivero (by Hoops Agents)

Power forward Carlos Rivero (207-PF-2003) had a great game in the last round for Atletico Juventud Florentino Ameghino, receiving a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 20-year old player had a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out U.Mar del Plata (#17, 0-7), the league's bottom-ranked team 74-70. Ameghino is placed at 3rd position in Argentinian La Liga Argentina. Ameghino is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-5 record. In the team's last game Rivero had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range. Third on the list of top players last round was forward Franco Fragozo (198-PF-2001) of Deportivo Norte de Armstrong (#7). Fragozo scored 21 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Dep Norte, leading his team to a 80-67 easy win against the lower-ranked San Isidro (#13, 1-4). Dep Norte needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Conferencia Norte. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 3 lost games. Fragozo has a very solid season. In 6 games in Argentina he scored 9.7ppg. He also has 6.2rpg, FGP: 60.0% and 3PT: 44.4%.
