Twelfth-ranked Echague (1-5) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Atenas (8-1) in Parana on Friday. The visitors from Cordoba managed to secure only three-point victory 63-60. However their fans expected much easier game. Lucas Arn (197-1989) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Juan Cruz Oberto (200-1997) contributed with 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Lisandro Ruiz Moreno (185-1989) answered with 3 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for Echague. Atenas have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-1 record. Echague at the other side keeps the twelfth position with five games lost. They share it with San Isidro.

It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Pergamino. It was a great evening for power forward Tobias Cravero (197-1999) who led his team to a victory scoring 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Facundo Saez helped adding 13 points and 9 rebounds. Center Rafael Banegas (204-1992) responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Pergamino's coach Julian Pagura gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Pico FC. They maintain first place with 9-3 record. Pergamino at the other side dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Villa Mitre.
La Liga Argentina top team - Pico FC (9-3) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat thirteenth ranked Ciclista (3-4) in Junin 73-66. It was a quality performance for Facundo Saez who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Caden Ebeling came up with 26 points and 9 rebounds for Ciclista in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Pico FC. They maintain first place with 9-3 record. Loser Ciclista keeps the thirteenth position with four games lost.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 11: La Union was smashed by Quilmes MP on the road 84-55. Independiente lost to Montmartre on its own court 75-77. Ameghino unfortunately lost to Racing in Chivilcoy 68-75. Villa S.Martin managed to beat San Isidro at home 81-76. Dep Norte defeated Salta Basket on the opponent's court 94-79. Pilar beat GELP in a home game 72-59. Barrio Parque won against Echague on the road 85-77.
The most impressive performance of 11th round was 22 points and 12 rebounds by Ramiro Ledesma of Barrio Parque.




Quilmes MP - La Union 84-55

There was a surprise result when sixteenth ranked Quilmes MP (3-5) crushed higher ranked La Union (5-6) in Mar del Plata 84-55 on Thursday. Quilmes MP made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for forward Tomas Verbauwede (198-1999) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Luis Cequeira (179-1985) accounted for 8 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Forward Brian Osuna (202-2001) came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds and center Lucio Longoni (205-2001) added 9 points respectively for La Union in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Quilmes MP moved-up to fourteenth place. Loser La Union keeps the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Ameghino.

Juan Rodriguez accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Montmartre players scored in double figures. Montmartre's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Milton Vittar (185-1991) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and center Facundo Jerez (202-1995) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Independiente in the defeat.
