Santino Mazzucchelli had a very impressive game in the last round for Club Atletico Platense Florida, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The player had a double-double of 29 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed San Lorenzo (5-7) with 18-point margin 85-67. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Platense is placed at 11th position in Argentinian LDD. Platense is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-7 record. In the team's last game Mazzucchelli had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Platense's top player in his first season with the team. The second best player in last round's games was young Agustin Passone (180-PG-2003) of Comunicaciones Mercedes 2nd team. Passone had a very good evening with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Third on the list of top players last round was forward Edgar Merchant (200-PF-2002) of Zarate Basket Independiente (#18). Merchant scored 26 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Merchant's great performance Zarate lost 67-100 to Union (3-6). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Merchant has a very solid season. In 9 games in Argentina he scored 17.1ppg. He also has 7.6rpg and FGP: 60.7%.
