Urbas Fuenlabrada Madrid (LEB Gold) has reached an agreement with Patricio Garino, a 30-year-old Italian-Argentinian small forward. Garino, who stands at 201cm and weighs 94kg, played for Basquet Girona in the Liga Endesa last season. In 28 games, he averaged 4.0 points per game and 2.0 rebounds per game. Moving to LEB Gold will provide him with a better opportunity and more playing time. In the previous season (2021-22), he had a trial with JSF Nanterre in the French league.
He attempted to reach the NBA and participated in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
He played for Italy in the FIBA World Cup 2023 Americas Qualifiers. In that tournament, he averaged 6.0 points per game, 3.8 rebounds per game, 1.0 assists per game, and 1.0 steals per game. His field goal percentage was 44.4%, his three-point percentage was 50.0%, and his free throw percentage was 57.1%.
He's a highly experienced player, having played professionally in France, Lithuania (Zalgiris), the NBA (Orlando Magic), and the NBA G League (Austin Spurs).
Among the many awards he has won, he clinched the Lithuanian League championship title in 2021. Additionally, he was voted for the Latinbasket.com All-FIBA AmeriCup Honorable Mention in 2017.
He graduated from George Washington University in 2016, and this will be his eighth season as a professional player.
