Tiziano Prome claims Argentinian LDD weekly honour

Talented Tiziano Prome (201-F-2005) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Boca Juniors Buenos Aires and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 18-year old forward had the game-high 18 points adding eight rebounds for Boca Jrs. in his team's victory, helping them to beat Union (#13, 5-7) 97-89. Boca maintains the 2nd position in Argentinian LDD. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Boca will need more victories to improve their 11-5 record. Prome turned to be Boca's top player in his first season with the team. Tiziano Prome averages this season 12.3ppg and 6.5rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young center Raymon Bastardo (202-C-2002) of Quimsa Santiago del Estero. Bastardo impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Quimsa lost that game 82-92 to the higher-ranked Obras (#9, 7-7). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Quimsa keeps 16th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-8 record. Bastardo is a newcomer at Quimsa and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Santino Mazzucchelli of Club Atletico Platense Florida (#12). Mazzucchelli got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds . Despite Mazzucchelli's great performance the Platense lost 82-87 to the higher-ranked Gimnasia (#1, 14-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Platense ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 9 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Mazzucchelli could help Platense to bring them higher in the standings. Mazzucchelli has a great season in Argentina. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.2ppg (4th best).
