Moussa's 24 points give him Player of the Week award

Fausto Moussa

19-year old guard Fausto Moussa (198-G-2004) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Instituto Atletico Central Cordoba and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
He had the game-high 24 points adding three rebounds and two assists for Instituto in his team's victory, helping them to beat Obera (#5, 12-6) 72-63. Instituto is placed at 6th position in Argentinian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Instituto will need more victories to improve their 11-4 record. In the team's last game Moussa had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Instituto and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Fausto Moussa averages this season 14.1ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Maximiliano Acevedo (203-F-2004) of Obera Tennis Club. He is a forward in his 3rd season at Obera. In the last game Acevedo recorded an impressive double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Obera lost that game 63-72 to slightly lower-ranked Instituto (#6, 11-4). Despite lost game Obera moved up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 12-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Acevedo is one of the most experienced players at Obera and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Lautaro Barrios (195-F/G-2004) of Obras Basket Buenos Aires (#9). Barrios showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Obras, leading his team to a 80-60 easy win against the lower-ranked Zarate (#18, 4-12). Obras needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 7 lost games. Barrios has a great season in Argentina. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.9ppg (6th best).
