Argentinian LDD round 19 best performance: Juan Ibarra (by Hoops Agents)

Forward Juan Ibarra (197-F-2004) had a great game in the last round for Zarate Basket Independiente, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 19-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Argentino (#12, 7-10) 68-57. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Zarate maintains the 18th position in Argentinian LDD. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 12 games and recorded just five victories. In the team's last game Ibarra had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Zarate, through which he has constantly improved. Juan Ibarra averages this season 15.1ppg and 7.3rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Venezuelan Keiver Marcano (201-F-2003) of Riachuelo de La Rioja. Marcano had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Riachuelo was edged by the lower-ranked Regatas (#17, 6-12) 87-86. Riachuelo managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 12-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Marcano is a newcomer at Riachuelo, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Yosel Perez of Comunicaciones Mercedes 2nd team (#9). Perez scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite Perez's great performance the Comunicaciones lost 81-86 to slightly higher-ranked Obras (#8, 11-7). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Comunicaciones needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 10 victories and 7 lost games. Perez has a great season in Argentina. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.0rpg (4th best) and assists with 0.7apg (4th best).
