Mariano Marina claims Argentinian La Liga Argentina weekly honour

Mariano Marina (PG-1999) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Deportivo Viedma Rio Negro and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents La Liga Argentina Player of the Week award for round 32.
The 24-year old playmaker had the game-high 20 points adding seven rebounds and nine assists for Dep Viedma in his team's victory, helping them to beat Provincial (#7, 10-11) 97-83. Dep Viedma maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Dep Viedma will need more victories to improve their 16-7 record. In the team's last game Marina had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Dep Viedma, through which he has constantly improved. Mariano Marina averages this season 12.4ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Franco Pennacchiotti (205-C/F-1990) of Villa Mitre de Bahia Blanca. Pennacchiotti impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds. The third best performed player last round was Felipe Bonfigli of Pico Football Club de General Pico (#4). Bonfigli scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Pico FC, leading his team to a 63-54 win against the lower-ranked GELP (#11, 9-13). Pico FC needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Conferencia Sur. Their record at this point is 14 victories and 5 lost games. Bonfigli has a very solid season. In 19 games in Argentina he scored 10.8ppg. He also has 6.8rpg, 1.7bpg and a FGP of 67.0%.
